Neat, tidy, responsible, caring with cats, non-smoker. Must have own vehicle in case transport to vet is needed. Willing to care for house and indoor plants, water outdoor plants, empty litter boxes, feed cats, bring in mail. Willing to communicate frequently through text or phone calls.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Maintain clean and tidy household and care for 2 cats. Scoop out litter boxes every day. Change litter bag weekly and change and wash out litter boxes entirely every couple months. Keep liter box space tidy by sweeping and vacuuming frequently. Water indoor plants. Clean up any messes cats may create inside house. Owner has 2 small outdoor bird feeders. Sitter would need to fill bird feeders as they are emptied.

What are the good features of the property and location

House has fully working appliances, microwave, dishwasher, washer/dryer, located in a beautifully landscaped community with lots of space for quiet walks. Pickleball and tennis courts are adjacent to the community. The location offers easy access to shopping and entertainment. The house is 3 miles to Cape May Ferry, Cape Henlopen State Park and Lewes Beach, plus Delaware Public Library, and 4 miles from Rehoboth Beach. Barely a mile to 25-mile Breakwater bike trail (bikes available to use) winding through natural preserves, marshes and beach dunes. My space has 2 bedrooms, 2 full baths, wrap around all-season porch, and a single car garage. WiFi and cable tv are also operating.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

Do you have reliable transportation? Do you enjoy independent minded cats who like regular feedings and sometimes sleep in the same bed? Please provide several professional references and/or police background checks when applying. Need to have a mobile phone for easy access to communicate any needs or issues that may arise.
