We are looking for a mature and caring person or couple who are familiar with spaniels. Aggie is now 9 years old and has almost outgrown her pseudonym ‘Pup’! She is very loving and enjoys nothing better than tummy tickles and walks.
Looking after the house and walking/loving Aggie. There are houseplants that need watering and a somewhat overgrown garden that might need watering depending on the weather. We are definitely not champion gardeners but it is a lovely place to potter in.
Our cottage is newly renovated and very comfy and easy to live in. It is in a small village on the outskirts of Salisbury, many tourist attractions nearby. We have an excellent village pub just a few yards away from the house and a regular bus service into Salisbury nearby.
You will need to have your own transport which you are happy to use for Aggie. Familiarity with cocker spaniels would be useful as Aggie is lively and fairly headstrong when there is a scent of pheasants or deer around!

Dr. Stephanie Elcock
Stephanie greeted me with an excellent lunch at The Radnor Arms, a pub/diner conveniently close to her home, and there introduced me to local friends who would provide backup should I need it while looking after her two spaniels. We then went to her comfortable cottage home and met Gillie, fourteen, blind and deaf, and her 'pup' Aggie, eight. Detailed instructions on their habits were then made clear and a tour of the house provided, which included a comfortable bedroom. Both dogs are very friendly from the first and both are able to get access to the cottage garden whenever they wish, which applies even to Gillie, who follows her nose about the house and garden as she does on walks, largely without difficulty. She is though in need of considerable attention and reassurance between walks and feeds, which is understandable, and Aggie always likes to share whatever fuss is being made of her mother. The village is just a couple of miles from Salisbury, well worth a visit or three, and within easy reach of Stonehenge, Old Sarum and other interesting places to visit, so I all in all I had a good eight days in Wiltshire. Thank you Stephanie and Sherwood. Jeff Thompson

A warm welcome in beautiful south Witshire
Gillie & Aggie, mother & daughter, are ADORABLE and extremely well behaved Spaniels! Stephanie & Sherwood were more than welcoming! They made a delicious dinner on our arrival and it felt like old friends! They have a cosy, beautiful house with a lot of traditional features, and views all around of the wonderful countryside. They were also VERY attentive; Keeping in contact during our stay, and contacting us in advance with general information & directions... Offering to buy us in provisions and asking if there are any allergies or other problems that they should know of... They left concise and detailed household & pets instructions, Details from important local contacts for all situations. And useful local information, as well as a map showing dog walking routes around Nunton village with its local pub 100 yards down the road, the ‘Radnor Arms’. Breathtakingly stunning countryside on the outskirts of the beautiful medieval city of Salisbury. Thank you for your boundless hospitality, and maybe we’ll meet again some day...
