Reliable, trustworthy. First and foremost Must be genuine cat and dog horse lovers. Environmentally friendly, not frightened by a compost toilet.
Someone who knows how follow instructions and very important, communicates on regular basis.
Due to the temperament of my old dog this sit is not suitable for young children..
Not shy of cleaning.. I dont like coming home to a dirty house.
I will be leaving the county for holiday so I need people that can cope and not run off at the first hurdle..
I also need references.
If I accept you as a sitter I need to be asked if you want invite people to stay at the house.
So house sitters will be here a few days with me before I leave so you can become acquainted with dogs cats horse and responsibilities here. There is a very comfortable caravan with large double bed.. living room , kitchen, bathroom in house.. Someone who knows something about horses..

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Looking after and feeding correctly my dog, five cats, dirt box emptied on a regular basis.. Leave the house clean and tidy as you find it. Also people who want spend time at the house, not leaving every day for long hours.
There will be a little weeding to do. keeping outside porch tidy and clean.

What are the good features of the property and location

Original stone built house, still under renovation, Sat in 15 acres, olive, almond, pine, fig, carob, oak and some fruit trees. Also a large part scrub with steep inclines.
A very quiet location 550 mtrs above sea level, 2k from a small village with four bar restaurants, serving good menu's..
Shops include....supermarket, bread shops, butchers, candle, marzipan, honey shop, tobacconist, shoe shop, bike n walking wares, petrol station. The house has beautiful views of the valley and surrounding mountains.; Great walking and cycling.

Couple bars have free WiFi
Lovely shaded porch with seating.
I have a washing machine..
It's solar run so there are a few rules with usage of watching machine etc..

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

Have references. Want to communicate any problems going on in the house. Willing to accept advise.
Conscious of water usage,
At the moment only cold water to kitchen tap. Hot water for shower, there is a compost toilet that has to be emptied into the compost area. [Its not so bad]. There is no flushable toilet...
Be able to lift and change gas bottle for cooker and shower.
Need to have own transport..
There will be a supply of font water which i use for drinking and cooking.+
If your intending arrive on motorbike please inform. Track can be difficult for novice riders.
It's a dirt road 3 meters wide and a kilometer long a small portion bit bumpy..
The dog is getting on in age so it's possible you will have change her bed covers.
On occasion administering medication.
Make sure house is secure when you leave.
