About this assignment

I'm looking for someone who is responsible, relaxed and good at communicating. An appreciation of quiet/isolated surroundings
an asset.
Dates are variable and flexible. I am happy to consider long/short term periods as looking for someone who would like to return multiple times.

It's a secluded spot and would suit somebody who can respect the hard work that has gone into making the house a home, and also enjoy having the space to pursue their own projects in a self-sufficient manner.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Daily care of a cat and plants.

General house maintenance - keep it clean and tidy and treat it as your own. The house is fully on grid but being mindful of water/electricity usage essential.

Theres a small vegetable garden that may require watering!

What are the good features of the property and location

A small stone built house in lovely countryside, gradually renovated over the years.
Perfect spot to get away from it all and enjoy the solitude.
Choice of villages close by for shopping and/or entertainment. Plenty bars and restaurants to recommend

A very peaceful ambience, the bell chimes from the nearby monastery can be heard if the wind's in the right direction

Space for an office or studio if needed

Inernet/ wi fi throughout the house.

Barcelona:an hour and a half away

Girona: 2hrs drive

Good relationship with the neighbours

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

Own transport/car is a must as no public transport options. You'll need wheels to get to shops/local village.
An independent nature. A love of walks, reading, good food also a plus.

Experienced in living in a secluded area is very important.

Can I bring my own pets?
