About this assignment
I am looking for an individual or couple to house sit our home and cat We will need a house and pet sitter from April 30th- May 5th. Taking in the mail is also needed. We are flexible about arrival and departure times.
What responsibilities are required of the house sitter
Bringing in the mail, loving our cat, feeding her once a day, playing with her. Being responsible for our home while we are away from it.
What are the good features of the property and location
We live close to downtown Asheville, grocery shopping, and restaurants. Downtown is 5 miles from our home and the Biltmore Mansion is about as far as well.
We have a sweet black cat to be with.
What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment
The Blue Ridge Parkway and its trails are mostly open. We have a membership to the Arboretum which can be used. Most restaurants are now open with quite a few new ones also open. Some galleries in the River Arts District have moved and reopened and many are reopened in the same location.
Can I bring my own pets?

Sweet Cat & Lovely Setting
I got to sit for Gracie in June of 2023, and had a wonderful stay. Ian and Beth were super communicative and made the house sit very easy and enjoyable. Gracie was such a sweet and entertaining cat, making for delightful company in both their cozy home and out in the charming backyard space. They also let me extend my stay a bit, as I roadtripped out to explore Asheville from the PNW. Grateful for the excellent week I had, and would happily sit there again if ever back in the area!

Long Weekend Cat Sit
I very much enjoyed my recent sit here. Their current cat Gracie is adorable- has such a personality, spunk, is affectionate and warmed up to me quickly. The house is in a peaceful neighborhood and the bus line is in walking distance to get you downtown should you need. The homeowners are kind and generous.

Happy House Sit in a great area
Mike and I really want to thank Ian and Beth for allowing us to have a fun sleep-over with Phoebe! This is a wonderful house sit opportunity as Phoebe is lots of fun, playful and also very well trained. She is delightful! Ian and Beth's home is clean, organized with a well appointed kitchen for cooking. Their neighborhood is quiet. We were so close to awesome restaurants, hikes and other Ashville must-sees. This is a very reciprocal house sit. Beth and Ian made sure to spend time with us on the front end and also left detailed information so we could have a successful sit. We would be happy to sit for them again and will definitely connect with them socially when next in Ashville.
