About this assignment
We've got a 3 bedroom, Victorian house in South Queensferry, Edinburgh with 2 kittens. We're going to be away from 5th December until 8 December. Ideal for a person/persons wanting to visit Edinburgh who loves cats. We keep a relatively clean house but are not fanatical. Our sitter(s) just needs to be responsible and have experience of looking after cats..
What responsibilities are required of the house sitter
Our main concern is our cats. They're used to us being around as we work from home, they don't go out yet so you'll need to deal with a litter trays. The way to win them over is play, they can be shy but they can't resist!
What are the good features of the property and location
We have 3 large bedrooms and two very high standard bathrooms. It is a Victorian property and has many of its original features. But the main selling point for the property is it's location. It is right beside the world famous Forth Rail Bridge and has excellent views of all three Forth bridges from both the front room and main bedroom window.
What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment
You really need to like cats, it wouldn't suit young party people as our cats like a calm house (although they don't always get it!).

We enjoyed our short stay in South Queensferry, Iain & Kristie, made us very welcome. Communication before and during the sit was great. Kittens were very entertaining. Weather was a little drizzly at times, but a very convenient property with good links to Edinburgh and Fife. Plenty of places to eat around the corner and although we didn’t manage to walk around as much as we would have liked. You never tire of the amazing changing views

Lovey house sit in Queensferry
Enjoyed our stay in Queensferry. Great location. Beautiful home with exceptional views. Merlin and Arthur - the two kittens - were very entertaining and once they got to know us very affectionate. Highly recommend this house sit.

6 days in Edinburgh with Para
Kirstie & Iain's place located in Queensferry was so peaceful and I had a beautiful view of the 3 bridges from the bedroom- waking up each day to that was divine! Kirstie & Iain informed me of what to see & do around, and they were extremely welcoming to me. I appreciated their warm hospitality. Taking care of Para (cat) was straightforward & she is a very independent girl; all she wanted was food 😀 & her litter cleaned out. I enjoyed my 6-day stay in Edinburgh with Para and would love to return one day!
