About this assignment
An honest person (people) who loves animals and will take good care of our sweet dogs. Must be a non-smoker and be able to let the dog out a minimum of every 5 hours during the day and before bed and in the morning due for our 1.5 year old pup and 10 year old senior who is doing great. We would love someone that is local or can be in the area fairly often because we travel a lot but will consider any candidate who is a great fit for our dogs.
What responsibilities are required of the house sitter
To feed, love, walk and take care of our sweet 10 year old Golden Retriever and our 1.5 year old Golden Retriever is your main responsibility. We are not able to have small children in our home due to liability issues with the pool, sorry.
What are the good features of the property and location
Nice gated community, near Red Rock Park and on bike route. Gorgeous fire pit and 5 bedroom home with updated kitchen and nice TV's with surround sound and all the channels. Use of hot tub, grill and driveway parking.
What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment
We will need to call past house sitting and personal references. We would like 100% commitment due to this trip being international with no refund. We live in a quiet neighborhood with strict Homeowners Association rules about noise, no cars on the street, etc. Our dogs are lovely pets and we just want someone who will spend time with them and love them in our absence.

Tracey and I had the privilege to look after Jamie' and Bob's home in Las Vegas for about 3 weeks in October 2025 and I report as follows: THE FAMILY PETS: Jamie and Bob have 2 dogs. Both Golden Retrievers. Tuffy is about 10 and is just an absolute gorgeous happy settled boy. Easy to walk, in fact, just simply EASY is the key word. A loveable dog. Luna is a 2 year old loveable girl. Full of energy as a Retriever puppy always is at this age. She has been professionally trained so walks on the leash very well and is just a loveable girl. Neither have a bad bone in their body. We walked both dogs twice a day (around the neighbour hood, through the Red Rocks National Park, Lake Mead, went to cafes (where they were well behaved) and had many rides in the car. None of these were a problem. THE HOME AND AREA: The home is ideally situated in the North East of Las Vegas. About 20 minutes from the strip and airport and about 10 mins from the Red Rock National Park by car. The home is large and fabulous. Situated in a gated community close to supermarkets, restaurants and services. It has a Spa, pool, great outdoor area, the kitchen is awesome, complete with great cooking essentials (Jamie is an awesome cook). All the high quality fittings (air cond, big screen TV, washing and drying machines etc). You could not wish for a better home to stay. THE OWNERS: We will find it difficult to find the right words for Jamie and Bob. They are amazing. The communication before, during and after our stay was excellent. Friendly, welcoming, generous, genuine, trusting, energetic and just a lot of fun to be with. Absolute 100% positive energy! Beautiful people. Jamie was completely organised for our stay. There was ample feed available for the pets throughout our whole stay and we were made fully aware of their routines and abilities. It made looking after them a breeze. we have found new wonderful friends! CONCLUSION: We could not contemplate having a better Home Sit. Jamie and Bob, their beautiful furry children, the home and the location were just 10/10. If you are chosen for an assignment here...you are indeed very lucky applicants. Don't let them down!
