About this assignment

We're looking for someone active and responsible to look after and keep our pets company while we are abroad. We have one dog who's excellent with other dogs and loves people, we have one cat who's quite old now but also will love to come and sit on your lap and two kittens, who by the time of the sit will be about a year old. We also have three parrots, sugar gliders and outdoor fish.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Walking the dog, feeding / watering the birds, gliders, cat, dog and fish. Feeding and watering is all very straight forward.

If you're experienced with birds you will be able to take the parrots out; one of them really enjoys human company and is 'cuddly tame', it's not essential to take them out however if not comfortable.

My daughter has the sugar gliders in her room. Again, if comfortable you'll be able to spend time in their tent with them and play with them, again, this is not essential.

What are the good features of the property and location

We have the top Wifi of 1024mbps, there are hubs across the house to give excellent connectivity in every room and it even streteches into the garden so you can work there. There are wired connections (CAT 6 ethernet cable) available in the front room also.

There is a jacuzzi bath in the main bathroom. 87" TV' in front room, 42" in bedroom. Front room has Netflix, amazon and access to IPTV channels.

My car will be available if required (Ford Galaxy 2006), however please note for access you'll need to be correctly insured and we'll need to a copy of insurance and drivers licence

We do have indoor and outdoor CCTV. The CCTV will be turned off for your visit (we use it to monitor and talk to our pets when we're at work).

Parking is on street, normally right outside however after 20:00pm you may have to park a short walk away as it gets busy.

Close to local shops, bars and restaurants and amenities (easy walking distance). Short taxi ride (5-10mins/£5-£8) from the touristy areas on the coast.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

We'll be away from the afternoon of the 22th July and returning the morning of the 7th August (flight lands around 0715am in London). We are flexible with arrival / leaving times and can leave a key in a safe place if our paths do not cross.

We have two bedrooms, both have a double. Please note that the sugar gliders are located in bedroom 2 and they do emit a pungent smell (can only be smelt in that room) so please consider this if yourself or bringing a anyone who is sensitive to these kind of things.

Can I bring my own pets?
