About this assignment
A responsible person or couple to care for my house, my large hound Hector young beagle Bertie and my cat Polly
A non-smoker and physically fit - Hector and Bertie are both strong and pull on their leads!
What responsibilities are required of the house sitter
To keep the house as clean as you find it
Both dogs use the grass garden so poop-picking is needed
Their local walk in the mornings takes approx 30 mins and a shorter 15 mins walk in the afternoons before their main meal
Polly goes out overnight and quite often accompanies us on the morning walks
It should be noted that there is no central heating - there is a wood burner in the kitchen and there will be logs supplied - experience lighting fires/cleaning them out would be helpful!
What are the good features of the property and location
It's an easy house with all main rooms on the ground floor - the second bedroom and shower/toilet are however up some steep stairs
It's in a tiny commune of only 15 houses - neighbours are farmers and the house often overlooks a field of Limousin cattle
Peace and quiet are the order of the day!
Only a 10 minute drive to the nearest town for all shops/petrol station/chemist/post office and bars
Only 50 minutes from Limoges airport
Only 20 minutes from rail connections to Paris
What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment
There is no public transport
i shall be needing a lift to start my journey to Australia but then my car is available for your use
I will need collecting on my return ?
Can I bring my own pets?

A energetic stay
It is an absolutely fine house and home of Angelas, who has also created a very beautiful garden in this tranquil area, where two villages with everything one needs (food/restaurants/gas etc) are within 10 minutes drive. The two dogs are absolutely lovely, I have never received so much 'my head in your lap as I need to be scratched behind the ears'. The once a day walk is lovely and the dogs knows the route by heart. I although have to admit that Hector the younger dogs really just do what he wants..... but he always comes back, looks at you with his lovely brown eyes and then who can not forgive that he really doesn't listen to your commands.......

Lovely housesit with 2 lovely dogs and cats
Had the opportunity to sit for Angela and her furries ! had a lovely time both at the house and out and about , the animals where all well behaved and no problem at all and the house very nice and comfortable ! The village is beautiful and lots to see and do around although transport is needed ! We had a lovely time and hope to return one day ! Dave and Jill

Housesit
Communication prior to sit was excellent and throughout the sit . Angela is a Very friendly host and an easy going person the house is in a lovely quaint peaceful village and very cosy and comfortable. The two dogs Gus and Hugo are adorable Gus is an old boy but does very well for his age hugo is younger and a right softy he’s not far off gormless but in a right good old funny kind of way and adores his regime of regular grooming . The cats William and Claude are loveable too and the little kittens Dora and Bertie who sadly lost their mum while babies are growing up to be the cutest little kitties ever cheeky and mischievous !!! Over all if we are available for future sit’s we would always do it again if you get the chance to do this sit you will not be disappointed We had a lovely time with all the furries Dave and jill uk
