About this assignment
Hello Homesitters, We are looking for a responsible, honest person or couple who would like to homesit for 3 weeks in our home in St Clement de Riviere (south of France) and most importantly would take care of our cat and water the plants as needed. Our home is large, modern and located in a quiet neighborhood -
What responsibilities are required of the house sitter
Mostly making sure the kitty is fed. She spends a good deal of the day outside. She is fed every day and gets clean water. Our mail should be brought in the house regularly also. We also have plants inside and out that may need watering. You would need your own car as the village does not have a lot of bus service.
What are the good features of the property and location
Our home is large in a hilly area with lots of trees and easy access to hiking / biking areas. Easy access to the city of Montpellier which has lots of cultural attractions and the sea side is with 25 min. by car.
What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment
We are looking for someone reliable who will leave the house the way they found it and take care of the cat, and plants. We would like someone or a couple who would be willing to be at home at least part of the day. We have modern conveniences, including WIFI - but no TV - though you can watch DVDs on a large screen which is not hooked up to an antenna. Non smokers only please.

This was the fourth time I have sat for Jan and Bruno. I think that says all you need to know! The first time I sat, Jan took me around all of the shops and the area as well as everything in the house and garden so it was extremely easy to settle in. They are very relaxed, and have a lot of interests so house sitting for them is a joy and we have had many interesting discussions when we are there together eating in and going to the occasional restaurant. I even got to try out clay court tennis with Bruno. It is wonderful to have become friends as well as house sitters. The house, garden and village are gorgeous. Kitty is lovely, enjoys a fuss, a stroke and a brush and very easy to look after. She comes and goes as she pleases. Taken all together it is a fantastic experience house sitting for Jan and Bruno.
