About this assignment
Animal lover, specifically cats & plant / garden fans
We have two 8 years old cats who want someone who takes care of then while we are gone. They sleep their regular 16 hours a day and enjoy the remaining time preferably with playing wth each other and cuddling with humans.
It might happen that they also visit you at night to cuddle. Plenty of purring is guaranteed.
They are no big fans of closed doors ;-)
We also have a house with several plants and a small but nice garden with many plants and wild animals.
What responsibilities are required of the house sitter
Take care of our two cats. They need food, water and someone who cleans their toilette. But most importantly they demand their regular cuddle and play time :-).
Besides the cats we have indoor/outdoor plants to water once a week, instructions will be provided.
What are the good features of the property and location
This is a new house build in 2019 in the suburbs of Munich, fully equipped with a complete home office on the first floor, since we both work from home.
We als have a fully equipped new kitchen with induction, steamer, smoothie/fruit juice maker etc. and a lovely garden with lots of birds, squirrels and flowers.
The street and the neighborhood is very quite and agricultural fields, forests and lakes are only a few minutes away. Despite this country side like location, down town Munich (main station) is only 18 min away by public transportation (train). The train station ("Lochhausen", train "S3") is a 10 min walk or 4 min by bike away.
For grocery shopping a bakery and a small supermarket and fresh fruit & vegetable store can be reached in 6 min by foot. Bigger grocery stores and organic super markets are 5 min by car or max 10 min by bike. A big shopping center is located in Pasing ("Pasing Arcaden") only 5 min by train.
We will provide two bikes and a parking space in front of the house in case you want to bring your own car.
What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment
We have planned to be away between 02.12. - 23.12.2024, but your departure could be a bit flexible, since we also have great neighbours that could take care of the cats for a few days in case you have to arrive later/leave earlier. We have a nice and bright guest room and separate bathroom and can also provide a warm welcome before we leave and show you around in the house and the area or you could stay a few days longer.
Since our cats are not used to children and might probably run away (has happend in the past), this housesitting is not suitable for a family with kids.
Please no loud parties and no smoking since we are non-smokers. Please take care of house, stuff and most important our cats in a respectful way.

Relaxation with funny cats in beautiful house with garden
Refreshingly uncomplicated to deal with - both the people and the cats. Everything was perfectly prepared for our visit and so we spent wonderful days in the house of Sarah and Lukas. It is very nicely furnished and has an enchantingly landscaped garden. The two cats are very different and headstrong. It was a great pleasure for us to get to know their daily routines and peculiarities. We enjoyed play and cuddle times together extensively. They are such wonderful animals! The house offers many amenities and we got used to certain smart features very quickly. We were able to combine work and life excellently and also had enough time for walks, bike tours and to discover Munich. Good connection to the public transport. We are already looking forward to a next visit and are curious when the hedgehogs will come out of their winter quarters :)

Great housesitting near Munich
The housesitting was wonderful! Sarah and Lukas house is in a very interesting location, with closeness to nature and at the same time close to the city. We really enjoyed being home because the house is very nicely furnished, very bright and in the garden you can see birds and squirrels. You can also work very well, with great desks and suitable seating and screens. It's also a smart home and you can control everything with an iPhone if you like. There are a lot of orchids and plants, we were given detailed care instructions so it was easy to take care of. We looked after the two cats and can only report positive things! Chewy and Fluse were very sweet cats, Chewy needs some time to warm up but when he trusts you he is the cutest cat and needs a lot of love. Fluse is not shy at all and from the very beginning she loves to be petted all over her body and she loves to lie in front of the heater. At the beginning we had the opportunity to get to know Sarah and Lukas, it wasn't difficult to have a relaxed conversation and they made us feel comfortable right away. So we can only warmly recommend the housesitting and really hope that there will be an opportunity to do it again!

Catsitting
Sarah and Lukas made me feel very welcome. It was a pleasure to spend some time together on the evening before they left. They are very gracious and caring and explained everything in and around the house and handed over some lists with contacts, shops etc. Their home is a modern, bright and very cozy house. It's clean and tidy and very quiet. Despite the fact that it's on the border of Munich the center is easily reachable within 20 min. by metro. I used my car and as the highway and other fast roads are near, sightseeing spots are reachable very easy too. Chewy and Fuse are both very lovely cats and very good behaved. Fuse, the cute girl, trusted me at once and loved her cuddles and massages. Chewy took a bit of time, he loves to play and joined me on the mat while I was doing Yoga. Both have plenty of cozy places to hang around. They love to be in the garden, but as the winter had come back with snow and stormy days, we spend lots of time inside and to be in a comfy home was a blessing. I enjoyed my stay and would love to return one day and enjoy the beautiful garden during warmer days.

Amazing experience in beautiful Munich
We had a great stay at Sarah and Lukas' place. They are, without any doubt, thoughtful, generous and welcoming hosts who made our stay so comfortable and pleasant. Their house is spacious, modern and clean. We enjoyed it so much that we didn't feel like leaving :). Chewy and Flouze, the cats, have different characters but are both lovely, loving and fun to spend time with. They definitely stole a piece of our heart. We can honestly say that it was one of the best experiences we had.

2 funny kitties and beautiful plants
We had a wonderful time house sitting for Sarah and Lukas in Munich. They are very friendly people and welcomed us into their home- even going above and beyond to make us super comfortable! During our stay we looked after their 2 really sweet playful cats and watered their plants. Their home is perfect if you like peace; it is in a beautiful, calm setting but very close to all conveniences. Highly recommend their home to relax and explore Munich as well as the surrounding towns. Thank you Lukas and Sarah for a lovely winter and summer housesit! Hope to see you in Munich in the New Year!
