Feb-March 2027-(7 weeks) Dog and House Sitter Needed in Beautiful Southern Oregon

About this assignment

We are looking for a responsible adult or responsible couple to come and stay at our house for up to 8 weeks in the wintertime. February 8th to March 29 2027 (dates are flexible) The person/people should be clean and respectful and just generally keep an eye on the house while we are away. We have a number of supportive friends, family and neighbors who will stop by while we are away. The person should have their own car or mode of transportation as the house is about 2 miles from a place to purchase food.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

The sitter will feed and care for our Aussie-doodle, Biscuit. There is a large yard for him to play in, so no walks needed-just food and water that is always available, and companionship. We also have 2 ewes that eat the grass in our field and generally never need anything since we have an automatic waterer. There may also be some plant watering needed in the greenhouse, but as this is winter-time, it will be extremely limited or nonexistent.

What are the good features of the property and location

Our location is in southern Oregon wine country, and quaint Jacksonville, Oregon is about 2 miles away. Lots of wild beauty and things to see, Biscuit warms up to strangers after a few minutes. Our property is 1 acre in size.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

We are appreciative of a sitter's willingness to stay to watch our property, but they must be comfortable with camera monitoring on the property. We have a number of security measures that we have installed. Additionally, this sit will not lend itself to overnights away from the property, although traveling with Biscuit can be discussed on a very limited basis.
