About this assignment
we are looking for preferably a couple who really knows dogs and cats, our pets are very friendly but they now are quite old and need meds and health monitoring. Kids are welcome, we have ourselves 2 daughters.
What responsibilities are required of the house sitter
Taking good care of our 18 year old hyperthyroidic cat. And our senior friendly almost 13 years old dog (mix Lab and Husky). They both have meds now. Our dog isn’t super active anymore but he still enjoy a short walk. The sitter will need to water the plant and treat the house as their own. A friend can take care of the pets from times to times if needed.
What are the good features of the property and location
We live in a 3 bedrooms (1 with a queen, 2 with twin beds)/ 1 bath. We have a big fenced yard. The street we live in is quiet and there is a park nearby to walk Huggy. Downtown LA, Manhattan beach, Venice, Santa Monica are a 20 min drive if no traffic, we love Kenneth Hahn park that’s a 10 min drive. The Sofi stadium is also a 10 min drive:
What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment
Our pets are old and need monitoring and someone that could anticipate their need.
No party please.
No smoking inside.
Commute around is not the best so having a vehicle is highly recommended.
Can I bring my own pets?

Great family
We stayed at Michael and Melanie's for a week and took care of their cat, Ecko, their dog, Huggy and their beautiful house. It was a great experience. We arrived a day earlier so we had the time to go over the care instructions. It was a pleasure to meet with the entire family: Cali and Nora are two lovely little girls and our own daughters, despite the age difference, were very happy to play with them. Moreover, Melanie and Michael cooked for us and we had a very nice time over dinner, talking about our respective backgrounds. Icing on the cake, they had the girls' and master bedrooms ready for us while the four of them very kindly squeezed in the nursery bedroom that night. The instructions left for us were very clear and we had no trouble taking care of their pets or house. Michael and Melanie were reachable at all times and were very responsive (their cat was a little sick) when we needed them. Huggy is a wonderful friend and very easy going. We had no issue letting our daughters walking him for he is such a good dog. The neighbourhood is lovely and safe. There is a lot of room to park your car and plenty of stores nearby (even walking distance). We would highly recommend this family for a house sitting and we do hope we'll meet with them again, in Kirkland or else.

Wonderful Animals Companions!
My family had a great experience pets/house sitting for Melanie. She is friendly and thoughtful, left detailed notes for us along with complete medical records and vet information for the animals, and even brought souvenirs for us when she came back from her trip! We stayed in contact with her via email throughout the stay. The home is situated in a quiet residential neighborhood on the Eastside of Seattle, safe and comfortable. Huggy is the best doggy! We loved taking him out for walks in the neighborhood, on local trails, and to a nearby off-leash dog park. We often got compliments when we are out with him! Huggy also slept with us next to the bed every night. The cat is independent. She didn't hesitate to let us know when she wanted food and attention. Some nights she hung out with us in the living room or in bed. After two+ weeks around them it was hard for us to leave! We hope to come back to look after them again sometime!
