About this assignment

I am looking for someone who likes to look after all sorts of animals especially cats, guinea pigs, gerbils, fish and amphibians as we have all of these!

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

We need someone to look after our young cats, they will be 8 months old in August and will be going out but they will need to be in at night and fed twice a day. Also, we have 5 guinea pigs who need daily feeding, a gerbil who needs feeding every two days, fish (only 5 in a small tank) need feeding once a day, 2 fire bellied toads that won't need any food just making sure they are ok and the light is turned on and off daily and finally 2 very small (so small you may not see them) dart frogs who need feeding once a week with fruit fly and they need the light turning on and off daily. I know this sounds a lot but they are all quite low maintenance pets really :)

What are the good features of the property and location

Our house has recently been extended and redecorated throughout. We have 4 bedrooms which are 1 double and 3 singles. 2 bathrooms and downstairs loo. The house is in Banbury which is well situated if you would like to visit Oxford, Woodstock or the Cotswolds. The trains station is a 10-minute walk so Birmingham is only 45 minutes away and London about an hour 20 minutes away if you want to explore further afield. Locally there are lots of great walks in the area as well and Banbury itself is a nice market town surrounded by pretty villages.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

This is a family home and we want someone who will respect that and look after it as well along with all our animals. Please note that you will not be asked to pick up or touch the frogs or toads as they are not to be petted but the cats and guineas do love a fuss.
