Autumn in Provence

About this assignment

I am looking for a responsible, caring person or couple to take care of a cat for just over six weeks in mid-September - early November 2026. The house is bungalow-style, not grand but comfortable and well-equipped, with a well-stocked library, satellite TV and WiFi.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

The property requires no maintenance except a little basic house-cleaning. The garden is looked after regularly and my son, who lives next door, can be called on for assistance in case of need. The cat, (a neutered male adopted from the SPA) is calm, affectionate and - like all cats - pretty self-sufficient. His well-being is my main concern.

What are the good features of the property and location

The house is on the outskirts of a village at the foot of the Alpilles, about halfway between Avignon and Arles. It is therefore ideally situated for visiting the many places of interest in the area (Avignon, Arles, Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, Les-Baux-de-Provence, the Camargue, to mention only a few). The surrounding countryside is attractive, and Autumn can be a delightful time of year in Provence. On a more practical note, there is room to park your car inside the property. Public transport (regular bus service) is available.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment
