About this assignment
As we are both retired and spend all our time with the pets It would be great if you could just enjoy the great location
What responsibilities are required of the house sitter
The dogs require at least 2 walks per day The cats need to be let out about 8.30 am and if the the patio doors can be left open for them. One cat needs medication and the indoor cat litter will need changing each day.
What are the good features of the property and location
Perola da Lagoa is a sought after location and is much quieter than the other side of the lagoon, There is interesting sightseeing in both Caldas da Rainha and Obidos both 20 mins from the house. The lagoon has interesting walks restaurants and cafes..
What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment
You will need a car as public transport is not available. The larger dog is a 12 year old puppy, strong and lively and can pull on her lead, she is also very affectionate.
Can I bring my own pets?

Great house of pets to care for in Obidos
Mark and I thoroughly enjoyed our time with Genetta and Polo and six cats in Obidos. The dogs are lovely and affectionate. They loved their walks along the lagoon as did we. The cats came and went on their own schedule and did not mind us too much. The home is large and modern and easy to take care of. It is in a really lovely part of Portugal. It was warm some days and we jumped in the pool. Colin and Liz were organized and prepared for us and easy to communicate with. We had no problems and would love to house sit for them again.
