We are looking for someone/ a couple to house-sit for us while we take a long-earned break in late October.
We have two dogs, both very friendly and low maintenance, as 3 cats, a young one, just over a year and two adult cats, one old (17 and one about 3 years). They again are low maintenance.
This is a beautiful part of the world and would be ideal for the right person / couple.
To ensure the animals are fed and have company
To ensure the house is occupied at night
To guard any mail that arrives at the property.
Keep the property clean
The house is over 150 years old with large garden overlooking the river with view to the Dordogne valley. The property is at the beginning of the commercial aspects of the village and has great access to multiple tourist attractions nearby as well as our towns.
The property is based in one of France plus beau villages and has over 100,000 tourists each year and is a very popular destination for global tourism
The site is on the Dordogne river, on the route to Santiago de Compostelle feeder routes so popular for walker, cyclists and out door lovers.
Moderate English or good French
Be happy with animals and be able to meet their needs.
Have a car, as this is a rural village and the nearest (small) shop is 3km away and larger ones are 10km
No, sorry.

Testimonials
Highly recommended!
My partner and I had the pleasure of care-taking La Petite Auberge during the autumn of 2019 - a really wonderful experience & something to definitely be recommended. Gerry & Gerard had prepared the house so wonderfully well that we took up our duties with ease and pleasure! The location of this wonderful gem is second to none. The village is stunningly charming and the surrounds offer a host of amazing sights. Again Gerry & Gerard gave us tonnes of hints and tips which made our stay more like a holiday and certainly a 'home from home'. Definitely will be returning and would be very happy to recommend to any other lucky visitors!
