About this assignment
Someone to take care of our house and our cat Attila while we're away on vacation. We're looking for someone clean, non smoker, and who will be take good care of the cat and the house.
Preferably someone who is in Europe, as it is easier to organize.
What responsibilities are required of the house sitter
- Take care of Attila, our beloved cat. He loves being surrounding by humans and therefore needs quite a lot of attention. Feed him, brush him, etc. He goes outside a lot but when he's here he needs a lot of cuddles :)
- Water our plants
- Keep the house clean and give it back as clean as you found it
What are the good features of the property and location
We live near Zurich, 20 minutes by train to the main station and 15 minutes to Wiedikon by bus. It's closed to Uetliberg, so you have the forest around and it is beautiful. We also have a garden where you can chill.
What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment
Experience with pet sitting (reference needed). Love for cats.
We love our flat and we really want someone who will take good care of it.
Also, we don't pay for your food or else, you will need to provide it for yourself. I prefer to say it in advance so there is no misunderstanding :)

Couldn't have been better
This house sit was perfect! From the warm welcome given by the hosts Natalia and Raphael, to their very fluffy and cute cat Attila, to the well-appointed house in a leafy, beautiful neighborhood located just a short train/ bus ride from central Zurich. The place was a great base to explore many parts of amazing Switzerland. The house itself remained comfortably cool in the height of summer without any fan/ air-con, and there are 3 supermarkets within walking distance. Attila liked to have a pat and a brushing from time to time, which I also enjoyed, but he was never demanding. I consider myself very lucky to have done this house sit - couldn't have asked for more!

This was a great three-week house sit: for starters, when I arrived after a long nightly busride they welcomed me with a delicious brunch, which was really nice. Atilla the cat is huge! (especially in the beginning, after some time you get used to it) We had fun together, he’s a good soccerplayer, will tell you when he wants to drink running water from the tap (which is comical), likes to be cuddled and brushed, but doesn’t sit on your lap; he needs his own space. The apartment is very nice and comfortable and situated right in Zürich; I went everywhere on the bike which they made available for me to use. Throughout the whole sit Natalia was easy to reach and even really helped me out when I got myself in some trouble, thanks again…! I highly recommend this house sit.
