House on Dartmoor. Devon

About this assignment

I am looking for a person or a couple who could look after my miniature dachshund and chickens. I'm looking for somebody who is clean and tidy and will care about my house and keep it as I would. . They would also need there own transport as there is very little public transportation in the area.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

The main responsibility would be to look after my miniature dachshund. He loves walking and can walk quite long distances. He would need at least an hours walk once a day and then a shorter 20 min walk in the evening.I also have 3 chickens and they would need feeding and generally looking after. Also it would be good if the lawn could be kept mowed.

What are the good features of the property and location

My house is on the edge of Dartmoor national park. The moor is just outside the door and there are numerous walks and opportunities to explore this beautiful area. The house is also only half an hour from beaches both in Devon or across the Tamar into Cornwall. Plymouth is about half an hour away with numerous shops and an interesting historical history. The house itself is a comfortable 3 bedroomed semi which has recently been updated surrounded by lovely neighbours.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

Sitters would need their own transport as there is very little public transport in the area. My dog cannot be left for long periods of time.
