About this assignment
Somebody who wants to come and enjoy Barcelona and also takes care of our house and our dog. We would like him/her to be a pet lover and to have some experience with dogs. We would love to know someone who can also on future occasions, as we travel a lot.
What responsibilities are required of the house sitter
Just to keep the house clean and walk Bali 3 times a day. She needs a longer walk in the morning (around 20 minutes), a shorter one at noon (10 minutes should be enough) and the last one of 40 minutes in the afternoon.
What are the good features of the property and location
The apartament is located in Poblenou, 10 minutes walk to The beach, lots of bus stops nearby and supermarkets, cinema, etc. The apartment is quite small and cozy, perfect for 1 or 2 people.
What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment
Bali was adopted in April 2022 so she’s still getting adapted to the city. She’s 4 and a half years old and she is very calm and good at home, she knows how to be alone and behaves perfectly when she is. On the other hand, she has some energy peaks (not too long as her breed is not a very active one) but the sitter would need some tips from our side to take care of her.

Looking after sweet dog near the seaside of Barcelona
In October I had a good time with Bali, a female 5 year old mix Mastin dog, in Poblenou Barcelona. Adriana is a very kind host who came to pick me up from the bus station North. Her appartment is cheerful and very comfortable, clean and tidy in such a way it looks serene. A pleasant place to be near the seaside at walking distance from supermarkets and bus stops that connect to all parts of the city. Indeed perfect for 1 or 2 people. Bali is a calm sweet big dog that doesn't need too much exercise and therefore fits in a city appartment. As she may get a bit stressed in the streets after a while, short walks in the neighborhood are best for her. She doesn't like some other big dogs so better to avoid them. Inside she likes to play with a toy every now and then but it's all very short and most of the time she enjoys the good life on the couch or in front of the balcony, where only a fly can disturb her. I particularly liked being at Poblenou and living like a local in Barcelona, having daily beach walks where there's cafés and many people are walking, jogging and cycling, and practising yoga, or having a sun bath, or surfing on windy days. It's also nice to walk to Ramblas Poblenou that has a lively ambiance for shopping. Lots of art in the city and in this part bus 23 stops at hospital Sant Pau - an Art Nouveau jewel (and a short walk from la Sagrada Familia), and the Design museum at Glories. Bus 16 is the best option voor bus station North. The weather was great although warmer then usual and I took the opportunity to spend a few days at the Costa Brava. Thank you for a lovely Catalan experience.

Looking after India
We absolutely loved looking after the adorable India. She is a wonderfully calm and affectionate dog and was always so relaxed when meeting other dogs on our three daily walks around her favourite parts of the neighbourhood. We had a really enjoyable 3 day stay with all the information and things we needed from Adriana including great tips on nearby restaurants. The apartment is in a great central location for site seeing the marvellous city of Barcelona but for us the real star of the show was the lovely India.

Great experience!
Taking care of India was great. She is such a sweet dog, loves cuddles and has the best behaviour around other dogs. Adriana's appartment wa also great and she and her roomate were really nice and checked on me multiples times to make sure I was comfortable in their home. I'd definitely love to look after India again, she's amazing! :)

Nice place and adorable big dog :)
Adriana and Marta’s place is super cool, clean and bright. We had everything we could wish for. The location in Barcelona is really great and everything is around the corner. The dog India is adorable and super friendly! We travel with our baby and she was nice and quiet around him, you can notice she loves kids and is just a super nice big dog. We met at the beginning and the end of the stay which was perfect, they let us know everything we needed to know for the apartment and India and were 100% available for any question during the stay. Thank you for everything, we had a wonderful time at your place and would be really happy to come back :)
