About this assignment

I would like to find a reliable cat lover to sit for 2 weeks May 15th through June 1st. I also can be slightly flexible on the dates if I can find a good fit this week (April 26). I had an arrangement set up with a friend who had to back out. I would like to know that if we connect that I can trust in making plans and this person(s) can make a commitment and keep it.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

My cats are indoor only and one is on prescription food- Little One and Jelly Bean. Little One is the yellow cat and gets UTIs or blockages if eating anything other than his prescription food and will overeat if just putting a bunch of food in a bowl. He requires portioned, prescription food 2x a day. Jelly Bean just turned two and loves to play all the time, and also snuggle. She is very sweet and nurturing.

As an aside, I am prepping my house to sell so it should be very clean by this time but there are many projects still. If you have documented skills in an area we could also work our pay for handiwork such as painting or deep cleaning.

Responsibilities would include feeding 2x/day and keeping up normal cleaning.

What are the good features of the property and location

My house is built around the turn of the century, a work in progress has some fun features. There are 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a kitchen, living room, wifi, projector for watching movies. I'm working on the office right now. It's near Herrington Lake, hiking trails, distilleries, local food, Shakervillage, and restaurants in Danville.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

This is a rural town with interesting scenery but there is no public transportation or nightlife that I am aware of. It's 20 miles from Lexington and 7 miles from Danville. You will need a car. The nearest airport is about an hour away.
