Catsitter wanted in 3.5 room flat 500m from Lac Leman near Lausanne

About this assignment

I am looking for a housesitter who loves cats and will spend some time each day playing and cuddling with my cat. Otherwise, I just ask that you are considerate of my belongings and my neighbors and that you are a trustworthy responsible person.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Feeding and playing with my cat Nike each day, cleaning her litter 2-3x per week. Brushing her every now and then if she gets knots in her hair. It's not much, but she is very sweet and loves playtime and attention!

What are the good features of the property and location

I live in Préverenges, which is a beautiful and quiet area very close to Lausanne. It's a 10 minute bus ride to Morges Gare, which is large and has connections to Lausanne (every 10-15 minutes) or other places like Yverdon-les-Bains or Geneva, and the connection to Lausanne takes about 10 minutes. There is also a bus stop directly outside the house, and you can take the buses to Lausanne or elsewhere. If you walk 500m, you will arrive on the shores of the beautiful Lac Leman, one of the largest lakes in Europe, with a sand beach, only 500m further walking. From Lausanne, most of Switzerland is accessible to you, with its world renowned public transportation system and outdoor recreation activities. You can climb the cathedral in the city center for a beautiful view, enjoy the beach and swim in the lake, take a ferry across the lake to Geneva or France, explore the Castle Chillon (one of the most famous in Switzerland), or hike through a vineyard in Vevey (UNESCO World Heritage site:). The options are nearly endless, and I'm happy to make recommendations.

The flat is a 3.5 room apartment on the top floor of a classic apartment building. The balcony has a view of the Alps and lake Geneva to the south, and tas well a view of the Jura Mountains to the west. I have equipped the apartment with high speed wifi and the building is quite cool in the summer with large windows and screens to keep out the bugs, and dedicated laundry access in the basement (one day per week, customary for swiss apartments).

We also have two bikes that you would be welcome to use during your stay.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

The person needs to be considerate of my neighbors when living in my flat. No loud music late or on sundays, or disruptive behavior. Also, my cat Nike really likes to play, interact and be pet by her caretakers. Otherwise, its not much, and I'm sure you will enjoy living here!
