About this assignment
I’m looking for sitters who will love and respect both my home and my pets, offering them kindness, care, and companionship while I’m away. In return, you’ll find a comfortable, welcoming house in the beautiful surroundings of the Montello— and a very grateful family when we return.
With Venice easily accessible by train and the Venice Carnival on during this sit ( it runs from 31st Jan until the 17th Feb 2026) this makes this sit all the more special, if to visit Venice in the magical weeks of Carnivale!
What responsibilities are required of the house sitter
We have a wonderful animal family:
Billy – Our friendly and affectionate 10-year-old dog.
Fred – A gentle 21-year-old cat who enjoys a quiet life.
Grey – A 12-year-old cat who loves attention.
Rabbit – A 2-year-old little hopper.
Chickens – A few happy hens that need feeding and care.
Responsibilities include feeding the animals, walking Billy, keeping the house clean and tidy, maintaining the garden (although in Feb there is little to do) and giving our pets plenty of love and attention.

Our home offers a comfortable and relaxing stay with:
A comfortable garden with amazing far-reaching views—all the way to Venice!
A wood burning stove to snuggle up in front of.
WiFi, Apple TV, Netflix, and all modern conveniences.
Three bedrooms & two bathrooms—spacious and well-equipped.
What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment
Location & Transport: Our home is on the outskirts of a village, reachable in 10 minutes on foot. If you don’t have a car, buses connect to Conegliano, Montebelluna, and Treviso, where you’ll find train stations with direct access to Venice (30 minutes by train). While a car isn’t essential, it could be useful for exploring the area.

My granddaughter and I spent a wonderful 10 days this summer in August at Kelly's house, looking after a friendly dog, two cats, a rabbit and 5 chickens. The hospitality and sincerity of Kelly and her lovely children opened our hearts from the first moment we met. And on the first evening we went to the village to enjoy the Sagra festival together! Thank you Kelly for this hospitality and trust. The dog accepted us from the first moment and showed his friendly nature. And both cats always wanted to be with us. The rabbit was nice to take out during the day to the outdoor house and bring it inside the house in the evening - such a cuteness. The chicken and rooster walked around the village and came home in the evening without a reminder. They also gave us fresh eggs every day. We were without a car. But that was not a problem. Because you could walk to the nearest grocery stores in 20 minutes and even enjoy ice cream in a gelateria. Treviso is only a 40-minute bus ride away. We really liked it!

Amazing house, great pets and wonderful Host
Kelly is very friendly and open. That was great time spent with her dogs Penny and Billy. Our daughter is still missing them (dogs are amazing). House is placed on the hill so the view is scenic (especially sun sets!). Really quiet and peacefull but first of all a place with soul. In the town you'll find everything you need to spent a great time. Thank you Kelly, Hope we were good sitters:)

What a wonderful experience!
I house sat for Kelly for almost three months in 2016 and it was a wonderful experience. Her dogs, cat, and chickens are all so loving and were great company. I actually went back to visit in 2017 because I missed them all so much! Kelly's house is beautiful and sits on top of a hill with an incredible view of the surrounding area. The house is comfortable and clean and has super fast internet - and there is a lovely garden to enjoy. Kelly was quick to respond any time I had a question. She is a fun, friendly, kind-hearted person who I am now lucky to call my friend. What a great experience!

Fantastic experience!
Myself and two friends had the pleasure of looking after Kelly's wonderful dogs, cats, chickens and cat in her beautiful home for around two months. We got to know her well as she was away in the week but home on the weekends. When she returned, she was always incredibly hospitable, kind and generous. She helped us get to know the area and always had good advice on what to see and do. Most of all, she was great to be around and made the assignment a hugely positive experience. Also, Billy and Penny are the dogs I wish I had!

A beautiful place
I ve been housesitting at Kelly's house for three months over the Springtime and it has been such a lovely time... Penny the dog, and all the other little paws loves are very friendly, peaceful and the best company... the surronding areas, the garden, the wood behind and the village where the house is are really a beautiful place to be and enjoy the beauty of nature, Italian villages and relaxing times...Kelly is very present, organised and she kept in contact with me on time for everything...hope you can enjoy a nice time there too...
