Housesitter Wanted in Lovely Sylvania Home

About this assignment

I'm looking for a responsible house sitter to look after my house between tenants. There are no pets to look after, so the priority is just keeping the house lived in and well cared for. Ideally, sitters would also be open to showing the house to prospective tenants (I don't expect this to be a large burden - I'll narrow down the pool substantially before scheduling any showings).

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Responsibilities are pretty light - keeping an eye on things, bringing in the mail, and making sure sidewalks are clear if we have snow. But otherwise, I'll take care of the rest. :)

What are the good features of the property and location

My house is on a quiet, tree-lined street an easy couple minute's walk from Sylvania's main street with all of its shops and restaurants. It's a great neighborhood with just about everything you could want for a relaxing stay.

There are lots of activities happening in Sylvania, but if you crave a little more variety, we brush right up against Toledo which adds tons of museums and other interesting cultural activities. We're also about an hour from Detroit and Ann Arbor.


The house itself has three bedrooms. My room has a queen bed in it, but also features my clothes in the closet. There's a single bed in the basement that can be brought up for one of the other bedrooms. There is one full bath with tub as well as another bath with shower, a large eat-in kitchen (with dishwasher), separate dining room, living room, and finished basement (currently being used as the media room). Washer/dryer in basement. There's a nice porch for sitting outside if it gets warm enough, as well as a garage with plenty of space for your car if you choose to bring one.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

I can be flexible with regard to timing. Initially I'd like to fill the property for at least December, but if you can need to stay a bit longer, we can work it out!

Can I bring my own pets?
