Self-sufficient sitter who likes animals (we have two dogs and a cat). Spanish-speaking a huge plus. Someone who is past the partying-stage of their life and reasonably fit enough to maintain a large yard.
Caring for the house, the pool, the large yard and the guest house. Pay own food costs, pay for cooking gas as needed, and pay a portion of the electric bill during stay. We do rent the guest house but, we are not sure if this would be a responsibility for the sitter or not just yet. (Summer months are kinda slim on tourists anyway)
Rural, large, tranquil, and close to the beach and river estuary. 300m from the plaza and the beach with tons of banana trees, lychee trees, and mangos. The main house is a large, open floor plan with 2 bathrooms, 2 bedrooms, dinning area, living room area, kitchen, and bodega. We have several large ceiling fans and A/C in the main bedroom.
The house is located in a small village on the Pacific coast. The beach is rocky but the river's beach is sandy. There is good surfing for experienced surfers. The town does not have an ATM and is a cash-based (pesos) economy. Local bus service is available however, there is no Uber or Lyft. We live at the end of the town on the only road that goes to the beach. The weather here in the summer is hot and humid with lots and lots of rain (mid-June through mid/late-October).
