Bad experience with the owner

The dogs are nice, but unfortunately they are very anxious, most probably because of the owner. The dogs are so anxious all the time, and they were raised in such a bad way that every walk with them is a struggle. Every time they see another dog, they will immediately start barking, try to reach other dogs, they will bite each other in an extremely aggressive way, and they will eat everything they can from the floor and will not listen to you if you tell them to leave it (none of this was mentioned by the lady during the call we had before the pet sitting). They sleep only with people; on the meeting call Ann-Marie said that it would be nice if they would sleep with us, but apparently it was not just nice, but mandatory, because the dogs were barking in front of the door. So at the very end we (a couple) were sleeping in different rooms, because 5 of us were not fitting in one bed. As the lady mentioned herself, she has the dogs because she is egoistic, and I think it is true, because the dogs are not trained and for sure they would enjoy life more at least being trained and having the opportunity to run around without the leash and play with other dogs. Communication: At the very beginning it was fine, the lady gave us instructions, then later she also asked us to send her videos and photos every day, which we did. But after we told her that we were leaving in the morning of the last day, she got extremely mad and wrote mean messages that we were leaving the dogs for 8 hours and that we could not leave them for more than 3 (which she never mentioned before). We tried to help find a solution, but she was only getting more mad. After that we were still sending the photos and videos every day, but for some reason she started to treat us as workers and even sent her friend to check on us. And after 16 days taking good care of her dogs and doing everything according to her instructions, which was to cook for them, feed them, walk with them, sleep with them, carry one of them in hand on all the stairs in the house and not let her jump anywhere, after all of that we got this review: “Victoria and her boyfriend told me they sat many times for dogs and other animals, yet were fine leaving the dogs for over ten hours at a time and told me I could hire a dog sitter or ask a neighbor to check in on them if I wanted. They said that was perfectly fine if they had water. I had to hire a dog sitter. Then, when they left they took almost every item in my cabinets - including toilet paper; the plants are all dead, things were broken; wax all over my dining room table . . . it was not nice. I really would not want anyone else to have to experience them. I should have chosen only those with references. At least now they have one.” So according to the woman, the people who do not work remotely cannot have dogs because they have to leave them home for more than 3 hours. We never told her to hire a pet sitter for one day; we said that if she would feel better, she could ask her friend, or we could ask neighbors to check on the dogs during the day, but she was very against it, maybe because she has a toilet for the dogs on the balcony from which the liquids fall right to the street in front of the neighbor’s window. Took all the items and toilet paper??? – No comments on it, it is simply crazy to write it. The plants were half dead when we came, and unfortunately they did not get better even though I watered them when it was needed (not surprising that someone that cannot take proper care of the dogs also cannot take care of plants). The only thing that was broken was broken by one of the dogs, and we immediately sent the info to the lady. Unfortunately we did not notice the wax on the table while cleaning the house before leaving. Other than that, the dogs are cute and we really liked spending time with them, and we are really sad that they have to live with this kind of owner. And also it is sad that there are people who do not appreciate the work other people do for them just because it is for free.
