About this assignment
Someone who is caring and likes cats, as we have 4, Mum Cassie, and 3 sons Dobbie, Jaffa and Tibby all are quite big.
What responsibilities are required of the house sitter
The cats like attention, need feeding and watering, litter tray cleaned if necessary. Although they do not use it very much now.There is a cat flap so they can go in and out as they want.

What are the good features of the property and location
We are in the area of Costa Tropial. Its a beautiful location on the edge of a whitewashed magical village, very friendly, with local shop, 2 bars, bread and fish delivered, wonderful walks and looks down to the coastal resort of Castell de Ferro with many more shops, restaurant and, 2km of the beach. Detached house with drive and parking, large garden,sun loungers, 2 bedrooms, kitchen, lounge/dining room, shower room plus another toilet and shower in the garden.
What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment
You will need a car as there is limited public transport. The shop and bars are about 5 minutes walk. If you play petanque there are games in the village Sunday morning where guests to the village are very welcome.
Castell de Ferro is about 15 minutes drive where you will find all your daily needs, supermarkets, restaurants, doctors surgery. 2 km of beach.

A wonderful place and the most easy-going cat squad
I stayed in Gerry's place for 12 days, and utterly enjoyed each one of them. His 4 cats (Cassie, the mum, and her 3 sons: Dobbie, Jaffa, and Tibi) are independent, easy going, and well behaved. Each of them has a slightly different character, and I really enjoyed getting to know them, as much as our evening sessions of hanging out on the porch :) The house is charming, equipped with all the modern appliances, but still retaining the rustic charm. The sea views are amazing, and being at the top of the hill, it also gets the fresh sea breeze (very helpful during the Andalusian summer!). The location is remote, but very convenient, with an easy access to both the beautiful Costa Tropical, with its quiet bays and turquoise waters, and the Alpujarras mountain range. It makes a perfect base for exploring the zone, as much as a great place to relax and escape from the city life. Jeanette and Gerry are a lovely couple, welcoming, friendly, and easy-going. Totally recommended!

Stay in gualchos
Thanks to Jeanette and Gerry for letting us take care of their cats in their beautiful house in Gualchos. It has been very easy to take care of his cat family with a totally independent life, it has also been easy to take care of the garden. We have been pleased by the comfort and cleanliness of the house as well as its views and the pleasant temperature despite being summer. Without a doubt, it is a beautiful place to spend a season if you like tranquility, the beach and good weather.
