We are looking for someone who likes cats, to take care of our cat Bambou, keep her company and give her some cuddles if she wants, as well as watering our garden and looking after our house.
The most important is taking care of our cat Bambou, giving her food twice a day, playing with her and petting her.
In summer, we also have a garden to water, especially when it gets very hot. The house is a modern, wooden framed, ecological house (Passivhaus). It is very well insulated but when it gets very hot outside, you may need to close the sun shades during the day to keep the house cool for you and Bambou.
The house is very nice to live in. It is a modern 115m2 ecological house with two bedrooms, a big sunny living room and open kitchen, and a 800m2 natural garden. It is located in a peaceful area to the south of Paris. It is 15 min walk to the train station. It is at the edge of two very nice little villages with restaurants, bars, and small shops. A small supermarket is located just across the street.
The town is called Saint-Rémy-lès-Chevreuse and is at the start of the natural park of the Chevreuse valley, perfect for walkers or bike lovers.
Attention: for this summer, there is work on the train line (RER B) and the train is replaced by a bus for 2 stops. Getting to Paris will be complicated. This year, our house is better as a base for nature lovers to visit the beautiful Chevreuse Valley than for visiting Paris.
We are looking for someone to cover the period between (roughly) Monday 28th of July until Monday 4th of August. There is also a second period between Monday 18th of August until Monday 25th of August. You can come for either or both periods. If you can come for the dates specified that is great, but we can be flexible with dates so a shorter time could also be very helpful. It would be possible to arrive a day early and/or leave a day later if that helps.
Smoking is not possible in the house, only outside.
Bambou is a cat adopted from a shelter so she can be a bit shy and might need time to adapt. But as long as she can stay in her territory and run after "croquettes" she will be fine.
We can lend you bikes if you want to travel around like this, which is great in nice weather.
No, sorry.
