3 dogs, 3 cats
We will be away for 11 nights in October are looking for a single person or couple to look after the house and pets. We would like a sitter/sitters who are experienced and confident with dogs and cats.
The main reason for having a house sitter in is to look after our pets. We love our animals and want someone to come and keep them company and care for them while we are away. We've got 1 older dog and 2 younger ones. The older dog will need separate walks because he can’t go far anymore. We've also got 3 cats who will need feeding. All of the animals are friendly and loving towards people and each other.
The house is a large Victorian property set in a neighbourhood on the edge of Cirencester, in the heart of the Cotswolds. There are 6 bedrooms, 3 reception rooms and a large, modern kitchen-diner. There is a walled garden to the rear which has outdoor seating and dining areas. There is plenty of off-road parking.
Cirencester is an easy 15 minute level walk away and there is bus service in the area. In town, you’ll find many high street and independent shops, pubs, restaurants, supermarkets and a weekly outdoor market. You’ll
Have access to the beautiful Bathurst estate as well.
We are surrounded by the Cotswold hills, so if you enjoy walking, the area will be perfect for you. In short, it's a quiet country getaway that can offer you a chance to explore an area of outstanding natural beauty and all the Cotswolds has to offer.
This assignment is not suitable for house sitters with children. We also do not allow additional visitors or overnight guests whilst we are away.
No, sorry.

Super sweet pets and lovely house sit in Cirencester, England 😊
This was my first MMH sit and it couldn't have been more wonderful! Yvonne and Stephen were both welcoming and so kind - Stephen even picked me up from the bus stop 🙂. I spent a week in their comfy, modern, and spacious home (with a lovely, private, walled-in backyard, and lots of plants, sitting areas, patio, and fish pond). But for me, the real reward was sitting for Fargo, a senior goldendoodle....the sweetest and best dog ever! who was always so good and easy to care for. As a large breed elderly dog, he had some occasional challenges with his hind hips, especially upon rising, but otherwise he got around just fine and even ran on occasion 😊. Their three cats - Sandy, Penny, and Pip - were equally sweet and lovable! They were only slightly timid at first, but warmed up to me quickly and were soon enjoying cuddles and rubs, which I enjoyed too! The cats spent most of their days basking in the sun of the backyard, or sleeping among the plants or in the shade of the awnings 🙂 Cirencester is just the right size (20,000) and town was an easy 15 minute walk away for market days or shopping; grocery stores were reached quickly by a number of local buslines, and there's a convenience store and post office just a minute away. Home owners left great instructions and were always easy to contact and very helpful if I needed anything. A really lovely time overall - would definitely recommend this sit for anyone!

Christmas in the Cotswolds
We loved staying in the lovely house of Yvonne and Steve. The three cats were calm and friendly and we could even stroke the shy cat Sandy. The dogs became friends from the first moment. Ivy is a bundle of joy and a handful, Fargo is just a gentle giant and Midge is very enthusiastic and all three of them follow where you go. They helped also in the kitchen, we worked as a team😉.

Cirencester
During August I had the opportunity to look after Yvonne and Steves beautiful Victorian house in the Cotswolds with all the mod cons but also with the Victorian charm of yesteryear and only a 15 minute walk into town. There were also 2 very nice local pubs.Yvonne gave me detailed notes on everything. The best thing about this house sit was, spending time with Fargo the elder statesman, Midge lovable terrier and Ivey the loving ball of energy who just wants cuddles.Pip, Penny and Sandy are very independent cats but let you know when they want something. I would definitely recommend house sitting for Yvonne and Steve

Cherished moments in the Cotswolds
Excellent house sit— very well organized. Our hearts are full of gratitude after our incredible stay at Yvonne and Steve’s welcoming abode. Nestled in the breathtaking Cotswolds countryside, their home, which was once a 500-year-old pub, carries the beautiful blend of history and present-day comfort, thanks to their loving restoration efforts. We felt incredibly lucky to experience the warm embrace of the home's snug interiors paired with the calming sight of rolling green hills that surrounds it. A special thank you goes to the delightful family of pets that shared their home with us. Spending time with the three affectionate cats, witnessing the geese grazing peacefully around, and being greeted by the friendly chickens genuinely enriched our stay, adding a unique and charming layer to this idyllic setting. We can’t thank Yvonne and Steve enough for sharing their slice of paradise with us!

Excellent assignment
Brilliant hosts, beautiful house and endearing pets. Enjoyed every moment of our stay even finding and rounding up the Chicken each evening. They certainly were free range. The four Geese were entertaining, the cats were very affectionate when meal times were near and Shelby the dog was a very close companion always excitable when the food canister was opened. It was an absolute pleasure minding the pets and premises. Clear precise instructions and Yvonne was always prompt to answer any questions or queries. Absolutely recommend and would not hesitate to return.

Fantastic furry friends at five mile house
We just finished a house sit for Yvonne and Steve and thoroughly loved it. Yvonne’s clear communication made the whole experience run smoothly. We absolutely loved all their pets- 2 dogs Shelby and Fargo( adorable and such characters), 3 cats Penny, Pip and Andy( all with different personalities, and 6 geese (which kept us laughing). Yvonne and Steve have worked hard on their beautiful home - 5 mile house which is a 17 th century converted pub. We felt honoured to be chosen. The place and surroundings are wonderful. If we are ever back in the UK we certainly wouldn’t hesitate to house sit again should the opportunity arise. Many thanks Yvonne and Steve.

Kind, helpful and considerate.
Both Yvonne and Steven were very welcoming and keen to ensure that I was fully briefed and had all the facilities available to do a good job for them of looking after their lovely property and delightful pets. It was a real pleasure to stay and care for the animals-they are some of the most affectionate and good natured ones I have ever worked with. Happily I have been invited back to help again even though there has been a move. I am really looking forward to having the company of Fargo and the others once again and renewing my acquaintance with these wonderful hosts.. Thank you Steven and Yvonne….
