About this assignment
I am looking for an animal lover that has lots of experience with animals to house sit my kitty (age 17) and my two beagles (age 6.5).This includes, feeding, walking the dogs and watering my plants in the backyard. Housesitter must be ok with animals sleepin on the bed. Most times the dogs like to sleep in the roon on their beds next to my bed.
I will also need my plants in the backyard watered everyday.
What responsibilities are required of the house sitter
Feed Joplin (kitty) in the morning and evening with fresh food. Change water everyday. Dogs will need morning and evening feeding and walks.
Doggie door is located in laundry room so the animals can access their bathroom space. This needs to be cleaned every day and hosed off.
What are the good features of the property and location
I live close to Capitola Beach in the heart of Soquel, CA.
It is a 5 min. drive to the water.
There are plenty of food restaurants within walking distance from my home.
The Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk is a 15 min. drive and the beautiful Santa Cruz redwoods are close too! Lots of wineries in the area too!
What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment
Commitment Dates: Please plan to stay from September 3–6, 2026. If you would like to arrive on September 2, 2026, that would be preferred, as it would give me an opportunity to show you the animals’ routine and go over everything with you before you take over their care.
Can I bring my own pets?

Owner & Assignment Couldn't Have Been Better!
I truly enjoyed my time at this lovely, clean Santa Cruz home. There are lots of windows, lots of light, a nice kitchen and a comfortable bed. I fell in love with Joplin right away, she is very friendly and slept on my bed with me. I walked on the beach every day, it's only 5 minutes away! This owner is so easy to communicate with, everything in the ad was accurately described so there were no surprises. They were also very responsive to any questions I had. I would not hesitate to recommend this owner.
