About this assignment
My family and I go on vacation and for this we are looking for people who can take care with love of the animals and also of the garden and the vegetable garden.
What responsibilities are required of the house sitter
We have 2 dogs and 2 cats and 3 chickens who must be given love, company and food. You also need to be able to turn on and use a wood stove.
What are the good features of the property and location
We live in a beautiful countryside area 4 km from Lucca, it is very quiet and pleasant. We have a nice garden and loving animals. Lucca is a beautiful city to visit and the surroundings are just as beautiful.
What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment
You must love nature , taking care of plats and more important you must love animals. We have a wood stove to heat the living room, so it’s important to have practice whit it.
Even if we live not far from Lucca ( only 4km) it is necessary to have a car.
Can I bring my own pets?

Beautiful place, owner and animals
We had a wonderful time looking after Sofias house and pets. The house is beautiful with a nice garden, a patio and a little pool to cool of in. The two dogs are so friendly and easy to handle, the cats are very independent and the hen very sociable. Sofia is a very kind and thoughtful host and she gave us good information about the house and the animals before she left and also gave us great tips on what to do and where to go under our stay. She was also quick to answer if we had any questions. We loved our stay in Sofias house and highly recommend it to anyone who get the opportunity.

Perfect sit with the sweetest pets in a beautiful place
This sit is definitely in our top 3 from our 28 sits so far. Sofia, Giuseppe and the kids are a relaxed family with the sweetest pets. The dogs, Coco and Umbretta are very lovely dogs and very easy to take care of. They are off leash all the time and can leave the property whenever they want. Coco is very playful and you can throw a stick with him to get rid of his energy. The dogs want to be with you all the time. The cats Thelma and Tweety were easy to take care off. Tweety was always gone during the day and came back for her food in the morning and in the evening. If she was there, she enjoyed her cuddles. Thelma was more around and very relaxed. The cats and dogs went along together very well. And we had the pleasure to look after a chicken with a little chick (1 week old). Easy but nice to see the little one grow in 3 weeks time! The property is simply beautiful. Just a 5 minutes drive from the vibrant, beautiful town Lucca. It's private and relaxed with trees all round. There was a nice little swimming pool, perfectly to cool down for the hotter days and we had an nice vegetable garden. We have never eaten so much tomatoes and cucumbers as in these 3 weeks! They were fresh and tasty! We also had zucchinis and when we left there were aubergines, cabbage, salad and pumpkins. The communication with Sofia and Giuseppe was very relaxed. We stayed in touch and we did send regular updates during our stay. It really was a pleasure and we enjoyed this sit to the max! We can definitely recommend this sit to other sitters and we would love to come back in the future!

Wonderful Pets & Gardens outside Lucca
For my very first pet/house sit, this was the very perfect assignment. The garden is huge and full of herbs and vegetables. The cats are no trouble and love being petted and cuddled. The dogs are just the best. Umbretta would sleep under our bed, from time to time. Coco on her bed or outside. Both loved going for a hike up the hill and back, about an hour. I loved watching the chickens!! They have quite the personalities. We enjoyed feeding them grubs when we found a few. Sophia and Guseppe were awesome and very welcoming. Sophia's mom Ramona was a pure delight. My partner and I completely enjoyed our 20 days in lucca.

Incredible vintage Italian villa, great owners, good location.
I have only one regret with this sit, and that is that I didn't get to spend more time with Sofia and her wonderful family. Their house is beautiful, and at the time I was there the garden gave out all kinds of fresh veges, and I got fresh eggs every day. The animals are all fun to hang out with, albeit very different from each other. Lucca, a short distance away, is a great town. I was there during a lengthy heat wave, so the small pool was a great way to cool down. And they have a good support system of nearby family to help if there is a question or issue, though Sofia was also very responsive to messages even though they were in a remote place. A++
