About this assignment
We want someone who likes poultry and respects our desert environment. We are looking for someone who is nonsmoking. This is great opportunity to see our beautiful desert!
What responsibilities are required of the house sitter
We are expecting the housesitter to care for our three spoiled geese and 11 chickens throughout the day. We will also ask you to run the irrigation on the garden each day.
What are the good features of the property and location
We live on 4 acres of natural Sonoran desert regularly visited by all types of desert flora and fauna. You will stay for free in our AirBNB guesthouse with full kitchen. We get great reviews and can provide the listing if you want to check it out. We are willing to work with you on scheduling if you need to stay extra days.
What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment
The geese are loud but they are our pets and we will show you how to get along with them. We raised our geese from eggs and we think they the best pets ever.
You will need a vehicle for this assignment. There is no public tansportation.

This was a different housesit in that it involved taking care of two geese, and six chickens. It was great!! Paul and Jen are consummate hosts who are super accommodating and communicate well. The Airbnb where I stayed was well stocked for cooking and the bed was nothing less than luxurious, with lots of activities, and miles upon miles of hiking trails starting right from the property. Geese and chickens are easy to take care of and the work required for the stay was minimal. Really enjoyed myself, thanks.
