We're looking for one or two easy-going people to feed Cleopatra the cat and the three chickens, water the trees, the flowers and the vegetables and just to be around our house so nobody gets tempted to jump over the wall!
Feeding Cleopatra and the chickens, and cleaning their areas, watering the trees and the plants regularly, locking the house securely when leaving, eating the eggs, chard, lettuces etc and planting some more for us, for when we get home. And leaving the house clean and sparkling!
We live right at the top of the village, so lovely views of the Sierra Mágina. We're close to Úbeda and Baeza, which are beautiful world heritage towns. The Sierra Mágina is opposite, with gorgeous walks and little rivers.
We've got a fantastic gym in town, only 18€ a month. And a really great public pool in the summer.
Our town is now really big on rock climbing, directly behind our house. There's a lovely small river 4 km from the town, great for walks, picnics, paddles in the summer.
We now have unlimited wifi, fibra.
Probably better for a couple, or two people. And you really need some Spanish here, in case anything goes wrong!
We have a telly, but only Spanish channels. You'd really appreciate a car, although it IS possible to live here without, but the shops are downhill, which means a serious hike UP with shopping.
Only 1 small supermarket, a few small shops and 5 bars. The village is built on the side of a mountain, like most around here, so the roads are VERY steep, and we live at the top.
Jaén is dry and dusty, and our house is a bit "quirky" - It is an old stone house (Not a typical "ex-pat" bungalow) that we have improved tremendously, but if you suffer from asthma, or allergies, it's probably not the best place to be. It's also OUR house, so it's got STUFF in it!!! (It's not an Airbnb) In the summer it's VERY, VERY hot. We have air conditioning in one of the bedrooms, and fans elsewhere.
The house stays quite cool if you keep it closed and dark!
When it rains, everyone is happy.
No, sorry.

A very authentic rural Andalusian place
Lorraine and Serafin are a charming couple that always cared for our comfort there and very helpful. Despite the unusual bad weather, we were able to enjoy our stay. We are grateful for the opportunity they brought to us to discover that part of Spain that was unknown and amazing. Hoping to have the opportunity to repeat!

Amazing people beautiful home
We really enjoyed our time here, the owners where amazing and so welcoming, showing us the local attractions and all we needed. Incredible clean mountain water locally, close to national parks, a great local pool, and the internet on our phones were great here. We loved the fresh grown veggies and added to their collection. Small enclosed garden was lovely.
