A mature, responsible person or couple that love dogs and who are willing to read and follow home care instructions regarding watering a few plants and taking garbage cans to curb once per week.
What responsibilities are required of the house sitter
Feeding dogs twice per day, letting them out several times per day, taking them on a 30 minute walk once per day, watering a few outdoor plants.
What are the good features of the property and location
I live in a duplex in a quiet and safe part of town. My guest room has one twin bed for one person. If a couple, I do have a full size bed in my bedroom. My location is close to many international tourist attractions: San Francisco, Napa Wine Valley, Lake Tahoe, Gold Country, Redwoods, Cali Coast. It is much cheaper to fly into San Francisco than to Sacramento. I can tell you how to get here from there.
What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment
I will have the home spotless upon their arrival and I expect the same when I return home. I will leave detailed instructions for caring for my two small dogs and home.
Can I bring my own pets?

As advertised
Marla's dog- and house-sit set-up was as advertised. I work at home and the WiFi was great (my standards are high!). The pups, Rocky & Samson, were easy to manage with twice-a-day feedings (dry food) and a long daily walk. I was there in summer and appreciate being outside -- while working or otherwise -- and they usually joined me when I was. They were also happy to let me work indoors, too, without getting in the way at all. I had the sense that they appreciated having a human around and they were friendly with and to me once they adjusted to my presence, which didn't seem like a new thing to them and didn't take very long. The house was well air-conditioned and maintenance of it included watering the front and back lawns twice a week. It's a suburban lifestyle with easy access to downtown Sacramento anad the capitol. One day I drove over to Davis, which was about 20 minutes away and a nice place to see. Having my own car was extremely helpful, but bus lines go by the house, too. The pups could be left alone for several hours but I only did that twice during my two weeks there. Marla gave thorough instructions and seemed to appreciate receiving regular updates about her boys while she was away.
