Old town El Puerto de Santa Maria

About this assignment

Looking for someone who loves dogs and likes nature. Non-smoker. Single or couple but no children. Must be able to climb stairs as our apartment is a two story (great roof terrace). A bit of an early riser as her buddies are on the beach around 9:00.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Feeding and walking the twice daily. She LOVES the beach but doesn't need to go every day but at least every other day. Honestly we just expect you to treat the house as if it were your own. Garbage goes out daily or as needed.

What are the good features of the property and location

We are in the heart of El Puerto de Santa Maria, there are over 16km of beach, more than 350 restaurants, flamenco and tapas bars. We are 1/2 a block to the large grocery store and 3 blocks to the central market. Our street starts at the bull ring and ends at the basilica. The beach is about a 20min walk but longer with the dog. We have heat and AC - 1 bedroom and a den upstairs. English TV - the best however is the private roof top terrace(s) we have 2 - one for entertaining and one for laundry. Cadiz is a 30 min ferry, Jerez a 9 min train ride. Lots of sherry tours in the area and Osborne is just down the road from us.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

El Puerto is typically Spanish you wont find a lot of English, although we will connect you with our friends here. You can get here by train or car. Parking is free and at the bull ring. The city is VERY walkable but public transport is also cheap (0.44€ for the bus and about 1.40€ to Cadiz or Jerez)
