About this assignment
Someone trustworthy who loves cat and plants, who can look after my cat, plants and flatlet meanwhile I'll be away. The cat is very easy going, but he tends to eat too much, therefore he is on a diet... and we have a food dispenser ;-)
What responsibilities are required of the house sitter
Look after my cat, plants and flat during my stay away. My friends and their support will be available if necessary. Food for the cat will be provided in advance, he is fairly picky and quite spoiled...
What are the good features of the property and location
My flat is at 10 minutes from the main train station of Verona, in an area fully served with several bus, no need for a car. The historical center is only 20ish minutes by bus and if you love opera, the Arena is the place where to go!
A completely refourbished fourth floor flat of a condominium.
From Verona, by train, is very easy to go to Venice, Padua, just spending a day off.
With a shuttle from the train station it is easy to go to the main airport (20 minutes circa).
What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment
All over Verona is quite difficult to park; Verona as you know is an old Roman town and road are of that time size, no way to make them wider! Parking space is a tricky matter in the center... my advice is to take a train/flight and then rent a byke or just walk around. From my flat, by byke, you will be in the historical center in less then 15 minutes, along a very safe bicycle path! Everything is at walking distance! And of course my cat is a spoiled one... ;-)

Wonderful host and her great cat in Verona
Elena made us feel so welcome in her home. She took time to acquaint us with how everything worked in the house (there was even a written information package to refer to later) and we learned what Midori (a very special cat) enjoyed. Elena also took us on a quick walking tour of the town in order to get orientated. We went to the market together and she even introduced us to a local friend in case we needed any help while she was away. In summary, she set everything up for success. So organized! Gorgeous time in Verona
I had a wonderful time in Verona and I felt very lucky to have the opportunity to come. Midori is a lovely cat, very easy to look after. There is an automatic food dispenser so I just had to clean his toilet and play with him of course. Midori is a great companion. Elena's apartment is very cosy and comfortable. Beautiful tiles on the floor, I just loved it. The view from the apartment is great. The apartment is close to the station and the centre of Verona. Elena showed me the beautiful town of Verona. I felt very welcome. It was a great pleasure to meet her. I highly recommend this address. Thank you Elena and Midori!

Caring for Midiro in Verona in September.
A lovely way to return to our house sitting travels in Italy. Thank you Elena for making us feel at home very quickly in your light airy apartment in Verona. Taking the time to give us a tour of your city and with lots of information we would not have known. We thoroughly enjoyed your company at dinner and by the time you left on your trip the next morning we were very much at ease with our surroundings. It was a new venture for us being in a city and we also enjoyed our day trips to Lake Garda and Soave. Midiro was full of life and entertained us in the evenings with all his antics by the time we left we knew him fairly well. We are sorry we did not see you on your return. Hope everything was fine in the apartment for your return. We hope to see you again in the future.

Cat-sitting in Verona
I had a lovely time in the beautiful city of Verona looking after Elena's friendly and funny cat Midori who was a pleasure to look after. The apartment was bright and airy with fantastic views over the city and just a short walk to the centre. It is a very easy city to get around on foot and full of history. You are also just a five-minute walk to the train station which will connect you to many other places including Venice in just over an hour and Lake Garda in around 20mins. Elena was the perfect host and showed me her favourite ice-cream and pizza shops :)) and all the areas of interest, also leaving me several contacts in the area in case of need. I would happily come back here again and highly recommend this sit. Thanks Elena and all the best to you.
