About this assignment
Looking for an individual or couple who love caring for a cat. My cat is going on 6 years old and has no health issues.
What responsibilities are required of the house sitter
Tiggy, the cat gets dry food as needed and is fed wet food 2 X's a day, AM & PM. All food and items needed for pet care will be provided.
What are the good features of the property and location
My home is in the downtown area of Chico, CA known as the golden triangle in our community. The home is next to the entrance to Bidwell Park and just blocks from Chico's Saturday market, Thursday's downtown Market, and Fridays concerts in the park. Its location is ideal.
What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment
January is a lovely time of year to experience Chico as the downtown area will be decked out in holiday fashion. Chico is a university town and has a vibrant, thriving down town area with multiple restaurants, and shops to choose from to enjoy. A DREAM house-sit with a sweet dog Canelo
I had the opportunity and privilege of minding Jill's house and pets recently in Chacala and LOVED it! And if I were free to housesit for the next 4 months, I would do so in a heartbeat but that is not possible sadly. Canelo is fantastic company. A dog of few words and his signature wagging tail is so endearing, He is an excellent hiking walking companion. We hiked up to the caldera (volcano )most mornings, had a mid day walk around the block and then often mid afternoon we would either walk along the beach or go for a jungle walk. There is a feral cat, Feraldo who drops by for a snack most days and hangs out. Sometimes Canelo notices and gets a little excited, other times, not. The house is BEAUTIFUL, comfortable, strong wifi, and everywhere you look there is somethig interesting to admire. The bed is super comfy and I had the best sleeps ever, listening to the surf. Chacala is a special fishing village and to be there in the off season would be pretty fabulous. This is a lovely assignment for someone special.

First-rate House &.Pet Sitting Assignment
I had the pleasure of minding Jill"s two dogs and a cat for a week or so while she visited family elsewhere in Mexico. I arrived the day before so I could practice the routines first-hand and Jill left me a detailed set of instructions with all the contact numbers. We stayed in touch lots while she was away. Her house is super comfortable and beautiful and I was constantly noticing her artistic flair and appreciation for pretty things in just the right places. I had the best sleeps ever. Each pet has his or her own personality and a total pleasure to spend time with. Canelo LOVED the volcano walks, Bella, the pug enjoyed his short strolls around the block and eating and Tiggy the beautiful cat enjoyed was super snuggly. All in all it was a great experience and I missed them when I left ? Jill is an awesome host and is very detailed which is great. No guess work which is comforting when looking after someone's furry family. I would sit for Jill again in a heart-beat.

Sitters: If you’re chosen by Jill for a house-sit, consider yourself exceptionally lucky! I’ve been a sitter for six years, and she is by far one of the most generous and sweet hosts I’ve ever encountered on this platform. I sat Jill’s adorable cat and pug in April 2021 at her home in Chico, and it was such an enjoyable experience! Jill went far beyond standard expectations to ensure a fabulous stay, with super-clear and simple instructions for the care of her sweet pets and lovely home and a variety of unexpected amenities. I am so grateful for the experience and could not recommend her more highly!

AMAZING HOST!
Jill was very accommodating. She left very detailed notes, extended her trust, and offered her house with the most generous comfort. You could tell by the demeanor of her pets, alone, that her affect was genuine. Her house was very clean and the responsibilities did not require any arduous details or superfluous tasks. Overall, she is an incredible woman and anyone would be blessed to be considered to sit any of her properties. :-)
