German Shepherd, female, nearly 3. Not so good with small dogs.
Independant. Must have own transport - this is a small village with only a small shop.
Careful, as the house is cluttered with souvenirs.
Nature loving. We are 5 mins walk from the lake, there is climbing and lovely forest hikes.
Look after Coco, a German Shepherd who will be 3 in April. She needs 2 walks of at least 40 mins each day. She loves swimming in the river, catching sticks and requires lots of attention. She runs in the forest off the lead but needs someone with a bit of authority when on the lead in the village.
This house is different from the one previously listed. The location is much sought after by lovers of canoeing, kayaking, climbing and walking. We are on one of GR footpaths and the possibilities are endless. The house is 5 mins walk from the lake on the river Verdon. The village has a museum of prehistory, a prehistoric village and a cave which can be visited with a guide.
The house has 2 downstairs bedrooms (we live upstairs), a brand new shower room, fitted kitchen and living room. The garden is fenced with an electric gate so secure for Coco.
You really need a vehicle and be happy walking a rather headstrong large dog. She is also very loving and docile. The village is small but has 5 restaurants and a campsite as it is a popular tourist destination. The nearest supermarket is a 15 min drive. Market town/doctor/chemist/shops are a 20 min drive.
No, sorry.
Testimonials
We enjoyed the stay with Carole in her home and had no problems with house, cat or premises. We also were able to go for long walks and discover Aix and the area around la Montagne Ste. Victoire. The nearest town is Trets which offers many possibilities. It was a pleasure to meet an interesting person such as Carole and we have stayed in contact ever since. Best Wishes Anita and Wolfgang Jules

Cat and house in Provence
My first and best sitting for 3 weeks in March 2022. Very easy vibes, Carole and Pete were very welcoming and helpful; they invited me to stay the first 2 nights with them. "Duties" are just to feed, cuddle and talk to Sandy the cat (she's doing her business outside (cat flap)), getting the post in and live in the house, which is beautifully and calmly situated with gorgeous vistas of the mount St. Victoire (great hikes there). Contact with Carole also very easygoing. Aix is about 20 mins, Marseille some 45 minutes away. I really hope to return, already missing the remoteness and Sandy.
