About this assignment
We seek a loving, considerate couple or individual who will commit to caring for our sweet cavalier, Barney. And be conscientious in maintaining a clean and respectful house. Barney loves companionship and is a very easy dog to be with.
What responsibilities are required of the house sitter
Please be available to Barney a good part of each day. He can wait in his crate while you are out, but no more than 4/5 hours on occasion, please. His 2 meals are quite simple.. He enjoys roaming the property, supervised. Leash walking not necessary. We have weekly lawn service. Water some indoor plants. Maintain an outdoor bird feeder,
What are the good features of the property and location
Tellico Village offers a beautiful location, lake views from all windows… 3 golf courses. Fitness center, pool, hiking. Restaurants, shopping. Smoky Mountains 45 min away. Knoxville is a fun city and close by. Our comfortable & Peaceful home has WiFi & office space for a remote worker. Comfortable guest room with Queen size bed & private en suite. 2 outdoor decks. Large tv room. Garage parking for your vehicle. Great bird watching. Community library. Friendly, helpful neighbors. Possibility for an overnight or longer days away as coordinated with our neighbors.
What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment
We require a firm commitment for the entire sit as we will be overseas. Barney is our beloved companion and is priority. We are also MMH sitters, as well…. So we understand and appreciate your needs as well, we look for this to be mutually beneficial and enjoyable.
Can I bring my own pets?

Barney House Sit
I had a great time taking care of Barney for Peggy and Bill. He is a great dog and easy to care for. He loves to be near you and is very affectionate. Bill and Peggy have a beautiful home and made my stay very welcoming and comfortable. They went out of their way to make sure I had everything I needed during my stay. They also had detailed information available about the house and Barney's care available for me. They were kind enough to let me stay at their home for a few days before my next sit. I enjoyed spending this time with them and of course more time with Barney who is a joy to take care of. I would definitely love to house sit for Bill, Peggy and of course Barney in the future. What a beautiful stay with a perfect doggie!
I had the good fortune of landing the assignment of spending 4 weeks with Peggy's doggie Barney in her magnificent home by Lake Tellico. Barney is a senior Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, so cute and so loving. He has no health issues and he is such a joy to be with. His idea of mischief is to hide his Greenie stick (treat) somewhere and then later retrieve it. He was so very easy to care for, all he needs is company and love and a walk (and treats!). Bill and Peggy are very gracious and generous hosts, it was such a pleasure to get to know them both Their home is tidy and clean, very comfortable in a safe and quiet area, in a park-like setting with lawns and many trees around. I met many of their cul de sac neighbors, they were all friendly and welcoming. Peggy gave really good instructions about her indoor and outdoor plants, so it was easy for me to water them accordingly. They have a beautiful patio downstairs with comfy furniture, right under the upper deck. Spend some time outside, enjoy the peaceful view from both patio and upper deck! I hope I will come back to sweet Barney one day. If you like peaceful living in a quiet lake community, and if you are willing to spend your time with a very sweet dog in this nice home, absolutely jump at this opportunity! You will love it!

Excellent Host
Excellent people to sit for. They are great people with a very sweet, easy going dog to care for. Their home is very nice and the most peaceful place we've ever stayed. Highly recommend them.

Another Excellent Stay
We returned for another house/pet sitters in Louden, Tn because it is so pleasant and relaxing here. The hosts are gracious, accommodating and friendly. Barney, their dog continues his cute, easy companion self. Highly recommend them.

Absolutely Delightful
As experienced house/pet sitters, we have seen quite a few situations and this was one of, if not the most relaxing places we have stayed. The hosts are friendly, helpful people. Their small dog, Barney, is the easiest and most pleasant companion ever. Their nice home is very comfortable, quiet and relaxing. I'm an avid birder and saw over 55 species just from their back deck in July. We highly recommend this as a good place to sit.
