We have 2 cats, Enzo and Zoe, both 17. Adorable. Very people oriented. Enzo, especially, is a real cuddler once he gets to know you. Enzo needs pill each morning (orally), and Zoe takes a small amount of insulin added to her food.

About this assignment
We are looking for a couple who are completely reliable, trustworthy, tidy, and who genuinely love cats. Our cats Enzo and Zoe are very affectionate, and love attention, so this is essential. We are Americans, living in France, so ideally you will speak good/excellent English so that communication will be easy for all of us throughout your stay. It will also be very helpful if you speak some French, but not required.We live in the gorgeous hill village of Cabris, located about 10 minutes from Grasse, the perfume capitol of the world. We are 30 minutes from Cannes, 45 minutes from Antibes, and an hour from Nice by train (from Grasse train station). We much prefer the train to driving to these spots.
While you can walk into Cabris in 5-10 minutes, you must own or rent a car. You will need it to go grocery shopping, to the vet (hopefully that will not necessary), and to fully take advantage of seeing this beautiful region,
The Grasse train station is 15 minutes away, and is free.
No smokers.
No guests.
You must have your own car.
What responsibilities are required of the house sitter
We expect that you will care for our 2 cats and give them lots of love every day and send pictures! We also expect that you will spend every night at the house. It’s fine to go exploring during the daytime, and we encourage you to do so! It is important to note that if something comes up at the house that requires you to be there ( e.g. a repair, a delivery) we will expect you to accommodate this as part of normal housesitting responsibilities. We do have regular gardener and pool maintenance services, but expect that you will keep the house clean and tidy throughout your stay, using cleaning products on a regular basis that we will provide. In other words, we would expect you to care for the house as we would, and leave it in the condition you find it. Last, but not least, we appreciate hearing form you via WhatsApp daily (we love pics!) just to be sure you are all OK.
What are the good features of the property and location
Beautiful, Mediterranean style home with drop-dead gorgeous view. We look over Cabris and can see Cannes and the Mediterranean beyond. We have a lovely garden and lots of outdoor space you can enjoy. The pool is not heated so can be chilly, but it is still a lovely area of the property to enjoy. Cabris is a picture postcard village with several great restaurants, 2 great bakeries, an excellent take-away pizza place as well as a gourmet traiteur (prepared foods).
The location is perfect for exploring the many nearby hilltowns of St Paul de Vence, Mougins, Mouans-Sartoux, and Gourdon.
What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment
We expect that you will take excellent care of our cats (our kids, really), but also understand that you are housesitting (as described above) as well as pet sitting. Not to put too fine a point on it, we had a bad experience with an individual who felt anything house related had to be arranged and agreed to in advance. If you have experience as a homeowner, you know that it is simply impossible to anticipate what may needed while you are away and we want to be sure our house sitters are sympathetic to that fact, and will make it their priority to help out if/ when needed.

Autumn in Provence
We spent almost 10 weeks, October 1st - beginning December, together with Enzo and Zoe in paradise! Upon arrival, Denise and Randy warmly welcomed us and gave us the really easy instructions for house and cats. As I remember it, I had Enzo purring in my lap after just 30 minutes! So nice. It took Zoe some days more to get used to us but then she really liked us. During our stay we went for an excursion in the neighborhood every second day. There are loads of small nice medieval villages within one hour's drive. Cannes, Antibes and Nice are also reachable within an hour. Not to forget Grasse. We actually walked the 7 km down to Grasse a few times. Easy walk down, slightly tougher back home when it is more uphill... Other days we spent in and around Cabris for nice walks enjoing the ambiance of the lovely village, home to at least 5 restaurants and two "boulangeries". If you get the opportunity to house-sit for Denise and Randy, don't hesitate. It is a lovely, well-functional house with a gardener arriving every 2:nd week. We would love to come back to sit and look out over Cabris, Cannes and the Mediterranean where we a few times even could see Corse.

Cat Sit with a View
Who would believe we would stumble upon a seven week sit in Provence during spring. It was delightful. Not only were Denise and Randy engaging and hospitable as perfect hosts their two feline family members were genuinely sweet and fun. Enzo will be your best bud and want endless access to your lap along with scratches and rubs. Zoe is a coquettish little girl who poses for photos at whom. The home offers subdued comfort and chic design with outstanding views of Cabris, Cannes, and the Mediterranean. Some of France's most regaled enclaves are but a day trip away. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Adorable cats and lovely home
We were fortunate enough to look after Denise and Randy's adorable cats and lovely home in Cabris in spring 2023. The cats, Enzo and Zoe, are friendly and sweet and were soon comfortable with us, especially Enzo who loved purring away on my lap at every opportunity. Zoe is very chatty, especially when hungry and they were both great company. The house is mostly on one level and feels very private although it does have neighbours. We felt very safe and secure there. It was a pleasure to care for Enzo and Zoe and we very much enjoyed meeting Denise and Randy too. Would we house-sit here again? Definitely, if asked and our schedules match!

Great cats in a fantastic location
We had 3 wonderful weeks with Enzo and Zoe. Both cats are totally different and in their own ways just absolutely cute. A little shy at first, you have to earn their trust. Once you achieve that, they follow you everywhere. So lovely! The house and location are a just fantastic, overlooking the Côte d'Azur! The handover was perfectly prepared, Denise had even prepared us a small dinner on the day of arrival. So sweet! Thank you for a great time, we look forward to seeing you again!

It was our great privilege and pleasure to house sit for Denise and Randy's two adorable cats. It was a luxury housesit in a fabulous setting located near many medieval villages and cities such as Grasse, Cannes and Nice. Communication with Denise before and during the housesit was clear and prompt. She provided a comprehensive housesitter’s manual ensuring all aspects of the role were covered. The cats had a simple routine which made them very easy to look after. Their lovely personalities and entertaining antics provided us with great company. We would highly recommend grabbing this house-sitting opportunity should you get a chance. The hardest part was leaving!

A warm welcome in a stunning location!
A warm welcome in a stunning location! That’s what we had from Denise & Randy when we arrived at their beautiful home. Acquaintance was quickly made with the easy going Enzo and his cheeky companion Zoe, two adorable furbabies both with unique and individual characters.???? We felt immediately at home. Our hosts gave detailed instructions for all eventualites as well as wonderful tips, addresses and websites for attractions and activities both locally and in the province. They also gave great advice for all the fantastic restaurants in the area, which are all in within walking distance! We would love to return in the future.
