About this assignment
I am looking for someone reliable to look after our cats while we are away. As our cats are 8 and 13 years old and very friendly.
What responsibilities are required of the house sitter
My house sitter was only supposed to look after our cat or keep her company. We live in a house with garden. We live in a quiet residential zone.
What are the good features of the property and location
Our ist big and is located in a residential neighbourhood in the middle of nature in the immediate vicinity of Lucerne. The city of lucerne is only 20 minutes away by bus or train. Lucerne is located in central Switzerland, from which all places are easy to reach.
What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment
the potential house sitter should not be allergic to cats and should be a rather calm person. Our cats are very easy to care for.
Can I bring my own pets?

I stayed in Julia’s beautiful home in Switzerland from the 3rd to the 9th of October to look after her two sweet cats, Kira and Berta. From the very beginning, Julia made the experience smooth and welcoming - we had a lovely call before my stay, and she provided clear, thoughtful care instructions for her cats and home. During my time there, communication was easy and warm, and I felt completely at ease. Kira and Berta were such a joy to care for - gentle, affectionate, and full of personality. I truly enjoyed spending time with them and exploring the stunning surroundings of the Swiss Alps and green hills. I felt very much at home in Julia’s place and was genuinely sad to say goodbye to my two furry friends. I would be more than happy to return in the future and can wholeheartedly recommend Julia’s sit to any fellow cat- and nature-loving sitter.

Fantastisch lieve eigenaren van 2 superlieve katten
Julia en haar man hebben ons zo vriendelijk ontvangen. Het voelde direct heel goed en relaxed. Na een kopje koffie en kennismakingsgesprek, heeft ze ons rondgeleid in de royale woning. Alles was al snel duidelijk. Voor de poezen Kyra en Berta was aan alles gedacht. Het werd door Julia duidelijk uitgelegd en ook met nadruk verteld dat de poezen het allerbelangrijkste voor hun waren, wat betreft de oppas. Kyra en Berta voelden zich direct erg thuis bij ons. Gingen lekker hun eigen gang en kwamen regelmatig op schoot of heerlijk naast ons liggen op de tuinset of binnen op de bank. Bij het opstaan stond of Kyra of Berta al voor de slaapkamerdeur om in poezentaal te vertellen dat ze honger hadden. In de tijd dat wij hebben opgepast bij Julia hebben Kyra en Berta ons hart wel gestolen. We kregen zoveel liefde terug van deze twee. Kopjes en likjes en knuffels. Het huis was heerlijk om te vertoeven. Het dorpje Hochdorf heeft een goed uitgangspunt voor mooie wandelingen. Ligt niet ver van het prachtige Luzern en Vierwoudstrekenmeer. Het was lastig nadat de oppas voorbij was afscheid te moeten nemen van Kyra en Berta. We hebben het heel gezellig en fijn met ze gehad. Wij nemen deze ervaring in ons hart mee.

Lovely owner and cat!
It was a real pleasure to look undertake this assignment for Julia. who's home is absolutely beautiful, and is situated on the outskirts of the city, with good public transport nearby. Kira (the cat) was very sweet and very chatty! She’s pretty chilled; happy to share time with you, but equally likes her own space. Julia was very well organised and left all the instructions I needs to get into the flat and to use the appliances in it, along with instructions on how to look after Kira. She kept in touch regularly and was kind enough to change arrangements when flight times changes. Overall, a really great assignment!

Sweet Kira in picturesque Switzerland
Kira is such a sweet and cuddly kitty. She is easy to care for and her home is comfortable and airy. The location is excellent for day trips to nearby places of interest.The owners were helpful and easy to communicate with. We enjoyed our stay.
