About this assignment

Hi, I am looking for a cat lover, who would like to take care my baby. My cat Tartufo is 15 years old, he is a bit demanding and very vocal. He has some health issues that are controlled with special diet and needs brushing once a day. He likes cuddling (a lot) but will show you his mind if he does not like what you do to him.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

The main responsibility is to take care of my cat Tartufo, provide me with updates and make videocalls to see him and let me know if there is any letters for me.

What are the good features of the property and location

It is a 3 bedroom flat in Whiteinch Glasgow, in a nice setting , surrounding trees, mini markets close by, bus stops within 2 minutes walking, a big park within 5', near West End of Glasgow. There is no supermarket close by, but with the bus there are 3 ten minutes away. The nearest area with many amenities and shops is Partick. It is 15 minutes away from the University of Glasgow and 25 minutes from the city center with the bus.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

The flat is on 2nd floor with no lift and the entrance is about 100 meters away from the nearest parking or road. There is no microwave or dishwasher. I can accommodate if you need to come a stay a couple days before and after the assignment. If there is a couple staying, please note that the biggest bed in the house is a small double (120cm wide). We have an inflatable double size but it is not convenient for long time.

Can I bring my own pets?

No, sorry.

Great location, lovely company

I stayed with Tartuffo in Magda's wonderfully located flat in October. Magda is kind and easy-going. She had a room ready for me, and spaces in drawers and cupboards in all the essential places cleared for my arrival. We had a fun dinner my first night in, before she and her daughter left in the wee, early hours for their trip. The flat was the perfect location for me -- a quiet neighborhood not in the busy center of things, but a short walk (less than 10min) to the Partick neighborhood (which I love!), with its transport hub, whatever sort of grocery store you might want, restaurants, charity shops, and more. Kelvingrove park, museum and U of Glasgow campus are a 20 min. walk away. Close by the flat is the bus stop to take you into the city center (although walkable within 30 min.), or the airport. Victoria Park is a 5 minute walk. Tartuffo is a love! Plan for plenty of cuddle time. He looooves being brushed! I would check on your utilities requirements and look up Partick to make sure they suit you, and highly recommend this stay if they do!

Great stay in Glasgow

I had a really nice time looking after Tartufo in Magda's comfortable flat not far from central Glasgow. It was a pleasure to meet Magda, Daphne, and Tartufo and I was made to feel very welcome on my arrival. The flat itself was very cosy and conveniently located for the buses to travel to the centre. Glasgow is a very friendly and interesting city and there is lots to offer for the visitor including museums, parks, music, arts etc, and Loch Lomond is also not so far. I really enjoyed my stay here and highly recommend, would happily return to sit again. Thanks Magda, and all the best for you all :))
