We have two indoor cats (Lilith and Bel). They are friendly, though will be nervous at first, and respond well to affection. Our older cat is on medication; 1 tablet in her evening meal (she is fine with taking it).

About this assignment
We are looking for someone who loves cats and is happy being in a small, but friendly village in a beautiful area in the mountains.
What responsibilities are required of the house sitter
The main responsibility is to look after our 2 cats and occasionally water some indoor plants. The house has all modern facilities and needs very little looking after.
What are the good features of the property and location
We are in a small quiet village in the mountains, surrounded by beautiful views and scenery. There are lots of local walks. The village has a restaurant. There is a nearby town (12 minutes drive) with supermarket, pharmacy, doctors, etc. Lake Geneva is a 30 minute drive and Geneva airport about 1 hour away. There are many walks in the area, and Morzine and Châtel are a 20 minute drive. The house (chalet) is on 3 levels and has 3 bedrooms, a long balcony, patio and 2 bathrooms. In the wider area we have plenty of attractions such as Évian, Yvoire, Chillon Castle, Montreux. Other places to visit include Gruyères, Annecy Old town, etc.
What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment
The bus service is sporadic (although you can get taxis) and a car is essential. Our village is quiet, but very friendly. We are very much in the mountains, so you will need to enjoy nature and the mountain environment.

The is steep country!
This is steep country! The road is steep, the mountains are steep and the stairs in Steve and Sarah's beautiful chalet are steep! Amazing things to see and do - Lake Geneva is so beautiful and Mount Blanc was incredible. Went to local farmers markets, tried to talk French and played with the chalet's two crazy but adorable cats. A great house sit - thank you Steve and Sarah!

Fantastic retreat in Alps mountains
You will find: * 2 friendly and easy-going hosts who took care to offer detailed instructions for EVERYTHING. * 2 beautiful and also easy-going cats -Lilith and Bel, who don't cause any problems. * A very cozy wooden chalet, super well equipped, with GREAT views. At night you will enjoy almost absolute silence, and during the day, you can start alpine hikes almost from the front door. I can't find anything negative to say. This sitting met all my expectations... and more. Sitting VERY recommendable.

Adorable Alpine Chalet Cats
We really enjoyed our time sitting Steve & Sarah's alpine chalet and their two cats, Lileth & Bel. The chalet has amazing views over the mountains, is comfortable and very well appointed. Lileth & Bel are easy to look after, well-behaved and endlessly entertaining. Steve & Sarah are very easy-going, helpful and good communicators. We would highly recommend this assignment.

Relaxing sit with beautiful vistas and funny cats
I had the pleasure of sitting Sarahs and Stevens house. It's situated at the col with great views, down the mountain to the next shops and restaurants. Good hikes from the doorstep and easy and funny cats. S&S are so warm, helpful and friendly, I felt at home at once. For the nights they have netflix, prime etc. or one could just stay on the balcony, watching the stars and (in summer) listen to the sheeps' bells. I would like to come again.

Sarah and Steve, or should we say their cats, are always a pleasure to sit for. Sarah and Steve are really friendly and easy going and have made us feel at home every time. They are flexible and go the extra mile to meet your needs. Lilith and Bel provide playful entertainment, particularly the latter as she's still growing and so curious about everything. Lots of laughs as she gets herself into some interesting situations! The surroundings allow for many scenic excursions, with nature at your doorstep or a livelier city scene only a short drive away.
