About this assignment
I am looking for somebody that loves cats and can take basic care of the garden too. Nothing important really, just watering the plant if it doesn't rain, and have a general look around. You need to be confident with a fireplace and butane heater.
What responsibilities are required of the house sitter
Take good care of my fur babies, wich are young and very easy to care for, no special requirements, just food and cuddles! But not too much food, Pirata is getting fat! maintain the house reasonably tidy and clean, keep a look on the garden.
The cats are used to go in and out freely, as there is no real danger around. They all wear a samsung tag. In case one goes m issing, the sitter will have to go look for him, I'll explain how this works, it's not complicated.
What are the good features of the property and location
It's a lovely place to enjoy nature and peace. It's in the very centre of the island so logistically is perfect to explore the island. The house is very cosy, with a big fire place that makes winter evenings very nice. there is plenty of place for walking in the nature. There is 4g internet , Smart TV , and the bed is a very comfortable adjustable bed. The village nearby is a lively little village that offers all the basics and a bit more.
What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment
You need to have a car as the house is not on any public transport route and is not walking distance to anything. If you have a driving licence valid in Spain but not a car, we can still talk as I will leave behind mine. You need to be a little hand on, as in any country house and be comfortable lighting a fireplace and using butane heater as this is the heating of the house.
The cats are free to go in and out of the house as they like, as there is no real danger around, so you need to be comfortable with this and know that if one doesn't come back you will have to go looking for him/her. It's never happened until now, but just to be ready.

Viven en un entorno privilegiado donde disfrutarás de una experiencia increíble. Los tres son gatos fantásticos, muy fáciles de cuidar y a los que se les coge un cariño tremendo por su forma de ser y lo cariñosos que son. What a lovely person Michela is! A most interesting woman! I stayed in Michela's home for close to a month at Christmastime 2023 and loved the relaxation! Michela was very kind and great with instructions as to what to do around her home while she was away. Her home was in the country with a very relaxed setting, with two of the most adorable cats I've been around; I could've taken little Chaps home with me, she was so affectionate and cuddly! There were a couple of challenges that were easily met because of her attentiveness to texts and details. No problem. I had use of her car in case a vet was necessary (which didn't happen), and that was very kind and generous. I was more comfortable at Michela's home than I was driving around the beautiful countryside of Mallorca! I would go back again to visit or pet sit. The yard work I did was productive and healing, felt good to be busy and help out. Michela is quite a resourceful and on-task woman, accomplished and intelligent. Thank you for a great stay!

Pixie and Dixie in Palma
I was fortunate to spend over two weeks in Michela’s rooftop apartment in Palma with her lovely cats, Pixie and Dixie. The location was great, on the edge of the historic city centre with all the shops and restaurants you could need. Close by are city bus stops and it is a short walk to the terminus for buses and trains to other parts of Mallorca. From the terrace there were views over the roofs to the sea and hills beyond and of fabulous sunsets. The apartment was comfortable and convenient and despite being in the city it felt remarkably peaceful. Michela was very welcoming and hospitable. She was kind enough to collect me from the airport and waited patiently for my delayed flight. I enjoyed our interesting conversations and hearing about her fascinating travels. She is very organised and made arranging the house sit very easy. Pixie and Dixie were a joy to be with. Friendly and affectionate with boundless energy, they loved to play and were always keen to join in with anything that you were doing. I recommend wholeheartedly any opportunity to house sit with them.
