Look after ponies in Auvergne (May)

About this assignment

We are looking for a person who has experience caring for horses and is completely reliable, kind and patient with animals. Preferably over 35 years old.

Dates can be a little flexible if necessary

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Oversee the care of 3 ponies over the summer who will be living out. Ensure they are well, have water and apply fly repellent and fly masks as necessary and as directed. Cleaning shelters and paddocks. 1 hour morning & afternoon is sufficient.

What are the good features of the property and location

The accommodation for the sitter is a renovated two bedroom cottage in the grounds of our Chateau in the Allier (03) area of Auvergne. 15 acres, walled garden with beautiful greenhouse, peaceful and tranquil location yet less than 10 minutes from the shops and highway.
Washer & dryer in the property.
No enclosed garden.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

That you can commit and be reliable.
You will need a car.
Animals will need checking on 7 days a week, but outside of 2 checks a day, your time is your own.
We have Starlink WiFi.

Can I bring my own pets?

Yes
Restrictions: There is no enclosed garden but dogs can roam the property if you wish them to, so long as they are well behaved and stay away from the horses.
