About this assignment

We have made many friends over the years by using housesitters. The most important things we look for are kindness and a wish to spend time looking after our beloved pet family.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

simple really... give our pets the same love and care we do. Spend time with them, feed them and look after them and keep the house in the clean and tidy condition it always is. The lawn will need to be cut but apart from that not a lot else :-)

What are the good features of the property and location

Our home is situated in a little village area up in the hill surrounding Cheltenham in the Cotswolds. Our home is clean, very well maintained, built in 1932 and extended by us it now has 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms a lovely well tended back garden with fruit trees and we live in a quiet cul-de-sac with fantastic neighbours! The village high street is a 15 min walk away where there are great coffee shops and charity shops and Cheltenham Town Centre is only a 30 min walk or 10 min drive and there is also a regular bus which stops at the end of our little road. The walks are great and within 3 mins you are up in the hills and woods where you can see all sorts of wildlife including Deer

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

We would ask you to come to us a the day before we leave to ensure you are settled in and the animals have got used to you. Also we can then show you around so you are familiar with everything. Please don't apply for this unless you are serious about coming, however we can assure you it is such a lovely place to live you will have a wonderful time exploring and living here.
