English: We are leaving from September 4th to Sptember 27tth 2026
We'd love to meet the sitter(s) before we get to leave, so we can coordinate.
We are looking for a responsible pet sitter(s) who will enjoy spending time playing with the cats ! One of them is especially addicted to playing fetch and will thank you with a lot of hugs !
Some plants to water as well from time to time.

Estamos buscando un cuidador de mascotas responsable que disfrute pasar tiempo jugando con los gatos! ¡Uno de ellos es especialmente adicto a jugar a buscar y te lo agradecerá con muchos abrazos!
También algunas plantas para regar de vez en cuando.
What responsibilities are required of the house sitter
Give the cats food and water daily + some playing/petting if they feel like it ! They also love to just relax on the balcony.
Remove the stools/change the litter box when needed. Water the plants (indoor once/twice a week, outdoor is weather dependent).
The rest is free time to enjoy your stay at our place and around !

Retira los excrementos y cambia la caja de arena cuando sea necesario. Riega las plantas (en el interior una/dos vez/ces a la semana, en el exterior depende del clima).

What are the good features of the property and location
We have a cute 2 bedrooms apartment in a safe and living neighborhood (65m2), with a lovely balcony to spend evenings. There is a video projector in the living room. All equipped kitchen and laundry. We also have a comfortable desk with a large screen and ergonomic chair for remote working.
Walking distance from all commodities (supermarkets, bakeries, pharmacy, restaurants and bars). Less than 5 min walking from metro Line 3 (Plaça del Centre) and less than 10 min walking from the metro Lines 1 and 5 (Plaça de Sants). The apartment is at walking distance (500m) from Sants train station, allowing day trips to various places.

Español: Disponemos de un lindo departamento de 2 habitaciones en un barrio seguro y vibrante (65m2), con un hermoso balcón para pasar las tardes. Hay un proyector de vídeo en el salón. Cocina y lavadero totalmente equipados. Tenemos tambien un escritorio todo equipado con pantalla y silla de escritorio para trabajar en remoto.
A poca distancia de todos los servicios (supermercados, panaderías, farmacias, restaurantes y bares). A menos de 5 minutos a pie de la Linea de Metro L3 (Plaça del Centre) y a menos de 10 minutos a pie de las Lineas de Metro L1 y L5 (Plaça de Sants). El piso esta ubicado a 500 m andando de la estacion de tren de Sants, permitiendo viajes a sitios chulos cercanos de Barcelona.
What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment
We can host a single person or a couple.
Visitors allowed.
Just be sure you want and can be present every day (sleep every night at the house) and enjoy it! :)

Lovely cats in Barcelona
Hello, we are Robert and Petra from the Netherlands. We like to do sits for pets when their owners are on holidays, or other occasions. We really like to give you some information about our stay in Barcelona. We found the apartment very clean and welcoming when we arrived. The owners Maelle and Fleur are very friendly and good organised. This is clearly reflected in the behavior of their cats. Rio and Raleigh (male and female) are very respectful, both to us and to each other. It's truly wonderful to be around them. They are well-mannered, don't jump on counters or tables, and are extremely sociable. The apartment is spacious and cozy. The large balcony is pleasantly shaded by a magnolia tree, from which we watched a nest of pigeons fly out. The neighborhood borders the Gràcia district and has excellent public transport connections. Barcelona is, of course, a wonderful city to stay in. There are good restaurants nearby with a very affordable Menu del Dia, and supermarkets are everywhere. We feel very lucky to have met Maelle and Fleur and their two wonderful cats. We would like to thank them again for allowing us to borrow their modern house to care for their cats.

Caring for Rio & Raleigh in Barcelona
We have just returned from caring for two very different cats! Raleigh was a complete treat to care for, gentle and patient, Rio was very adventurous and loved to let you know when he wanted to be brushed and when it was his playtime. We really enjoyed their company and returning home to them both after our days out exploring Barcelona, the apartment was light and airy and was well situated to see many of the sights the city has to offer. Maelle & Fleur were great hosts and made us feel very comfortable and welcome in their home. Communication before, during and after the sit was swift and friendly, All in all a lovely city house sit, thank you both for your hospitality. Best wishes Lorraine & Alan.

Lovely winter housesit in Chapel Hill NC
We loved house and cat sitting for Maelle and Fleur in their comfortable apartment in Chapel Hill. Maelle and Fleur were friendly, gave excellent instructions, and communicated regularly during the 3-week sit. The apartment was comfortable, quiet, and conveniently located near grocery stores, other shopping, downtown Chapel Hill and the UNC campus, and many activities. We enjoyed the company and antics of Rio and Raleigh, two cats with distinct and colorful personalities who are quite attached to each other. Rio is a boisterous, mischievous guy who loves to play fetch with earplugs, roll the tomatoes off the counter (you learn to put them away!), and pounce on Raleigh when she is relaxing in the cat tunnel. Raleigh is a calm, sensitive soul with the most beautiful blue-green eyes who will lay near you on the movie couch once she gets to know you. Our favorite daily activity was hiking at one of the many preserved land areas that are located within a 20-mile radius of Chapel Hill. We also enjoyed visiting several State museums in Raleigh, sampling the hard ciders crafted in the area, and getting pastries and fresh bread at the nearby German bakery. We highly recommend future opportunities to sit for Maelle and Fleur, Rio and Raleigh at their Chapel Hill apartment.

Organized homeowners, lovable kitties, and very desirable location!
Maelle & Fleur kindly welcomed us with a delicious home made meal & a special French dessert! What a pleasure to spend the evening together getting to know two such admirable people. They not only explained, but left detailed instructions for the care of the kitties and apartment. The charming felines, Raleigh & Rio were a bit timid at first, but quickly warmed up to us. It was entertaining to interact and see their unique personalities. Location!! The apartment was ideal for sightseeing, close to the campuses, and all they have to offer. We most enjoyed the Sarah P. Duke Botanical Garden, the UNC Planetarium, and the Carrboro Farmer's Market. If you have the opportunity, we would highly recommmend you house sit for them in the Technology Triangle. Jerry & Cheryl
