Old Virginia country home one hour from Washington D.C

About this assignment

We are looking for someone to enjoy our house as much as we do. We live in a cute town with restaurants within walking distance, farmers market every Sunday, plenty of land to grow a garden, 1.2 miles away from a major highway that brings you straight to Washington D.C., over a dozen wineries within a 10 minute drive, etc. Oh and we have two dogs that are 12 years old and a bunch of chickens that do not need to be tended to.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

They will need to take care of our two dogs who are very low maintenance. The dogs do not need to be walked, they only need to be let out into the backyard, have some company, and have their food and water bowls always kept full.

What are the good features of the property and location

We live in a cute, small town with restaurants within walking distance, farmers market every Sunday, a garden, 1.2 miles away from a major highway that brings you straight to Washington D.C., over a dozen wineries within a 10 minute drive, surrounded by horse country, etc. We are 4 miles from the nearest grocery store (Food Lion). And 15 minutes to better grocery stores… Instacart delivers everything to us :)

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

Our house location has access to Uber and Lift, but no other public transportation.
