About this assignment

A couple, ideally early retirees , wanted long term for large rural beachside homestead on the Greek Island of Milos.
Best suitable for people experienced in country houses, able to troubleshoot common problems.
Dates are flexible, one month minimum.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Taking care of, walking and cleaning after the dog.

Keeping an eye on the property for water leaks, stray goats, checking the garden irrigation , troubleshooting problems.

Must be able to handle periods of isolation as the home owner is only on site part time in the winter months.

Limited use of the property manual drive 4X4 is available, but for full time mobility, you should consider renting a vehicle or bring your own.

Applicants should be responsible and trustworthy, in good health, handy and resourceful, non smokers or heavy drinkers .

Technical ability , familiarity with garden power tools preferred.

City folks, or digital nomads on a full time inflexible schedule, this is probably not suitable for you..

What are the good features of the property and location

Beautiful , hilly , beach fronted Natura 2000 area on the Greek Island of Milos in the country, 14 kms from nearest town.
Moderate temperatures during the winter, rarely below single digit Celsius.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

This is country living, not suitable for everyone.

Must be able to handle periods of isolation , you should be able to be on your own , particularly during the winter months.

Can I bring my own pets?
