Cozy house in northern León (Spain)

About this assignment

We are looking for a person or couple to take care of our animals (two dogs and one cat) and some pots at the garden. It would be ideal people who love animals, nature and a quiet life. Above all, we are looking for responsible and caring people who enjoy spending time with the animals and looking after the garden.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

The responsibilities are only two: taking care of our animals and doing a little maintenance of our garden. The dogs should be fed twice a day and given clean water. During the day they like to be in the garden, but they are used to a daily walk and at night they should be put in the main house, where they have their beds. Cat do her own thing, but food and water should be provided occasionally. In addition, the garden (flower beds, not grass) should be watered every day. It is not very big and it takes us only some minutes.

What are the good features of the property and location

We live in an old renovated house, in a small village in the north of León, in a valley and about 10 minutes from the mountains, in an area of great natural value.
We have a garden with trees, shade and coolness, which is very pleasant especially in summer. It is equipped with tables for eating and different areas for sitting and relaxing.
The guest house is small but modern and fully equipped. It has high speed wifi.
We have bicycles and helmets at your disposal.
In addition, we offer you a guide of the walks you can do, either on foot from the house or by car a few kilometres from the village. We also recommend visits to natural sites a little further away.
The "Fundación Cerezales Antonino y Cinia", which has an interesting programme of cultural activities (concerts, theatre, workshops, etc.) free of charge, is about 5 kms from the village.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

The dates we propose are approximate, we are open to small variations.
Although it would not be necessary, we would prefer the house sitter to come to the house before we leave on our trip. As we offer our guest house, this is not a problem. This way, we can explain everything in person.
As the village is small and there are no grocery shops, it is advisable to have your own car. If the house sitter does not have a car, we can arrange for a car to be left with him/her/them. Anyway, León city is quite close and has all kinds of services.

Restrictions: No problem, but we should talk about it before closing the deal.
